A sangha is the ingredient most modern meditators skip." In traditional mindfulness and Buddhist practices, a sangha refers to a supportive community of practitioners, teachers, and friends.
While modern meditation is frequently treated as an isolated, solo self-care activity driven by apps and convenience, practicing completely alone causes people to miss out on vital elements of growth.
Without a sangha, meditators often lose the gentle accountability that keeps a routine consistent, the shared wisdom of hearing others navigate similar mental struggles, and the honest mirroring a group provides to prevent the ego from distorting the practice.
Ultimately, the phrase serves as a reminder that while individual meditation is valuable, deep and sustained transformation is rarely a solo journey—it requires a community. 🙏🏼

This phrase means that being spiritually or emotionally mature doesn't mean you are constantly trapped in a bubbly, happy, or "pleasant" mood. Instead, it means you can experience painful, uncomfortable, or unpleasant realities without losing your mind, reacting impulsively, or being destroyed by them.
In short: Pleasantness is about what you are feeling (good things), while equanimity is about how you handle whatever you are feeling (with balance).

Laying Spinal Twist (Supta Matsyendrasana)
To correctly execute the laying spinal twist with one leg straight and the other knee bent, begin by positioning your body with the back very straight, ensuring the spine is completely aligned and lengthened. Reach the crest of the head high and away, keeping the crown of the head directed fully away from your feet to maintain proper neck alignment.
Extend both arms horizontally, keeping your shoulders glued to the floor and ensuring that both shoulder blades remain firmly grounded throughout the pose. Bring your gaze straight, opposite to the twisted knee to complete the spiral of the spine.
For your lower body, keep the extended leg tense and active, while drawing the bent leg's knee towards the floor to deepen the spinal twist. Finally, you can choose to keep your foot either engaged or relaxed, depending on your personal preference.
