A new way of moving is showing up in class… and I am loving it.
We’re moving with more intention through 3–4 focused circuits, using shorter rep ranges, better control and just enough repetition to really feel the work.
My abs have been fired up. The movements feel more impactful. The results are starting to speak for themselves.
There have been a few extra glares in my direction… but still plenty of happy, sweaty faces at the end. I’ll take it.
Let’s move together with intention.

This week feels a little… unhinged.
We’ve got full moon energy, a hump-day holiday and a forecast that apparently wants us to experience 47°C.
Forty-seven.
That is not a temperature. That is a personal attack.
Luckily, I’ll be inside, guiding the movement and making cheerful suggestions that may cause you to briefly question our friendship.
You love me.
You hate me.
I hope it’s mostly love.

I know I’m a little obsessed with the PAUSE, but how are we expected to prepare for something we rarely learn about until we’re suddenly wondering:
What the heck is going on with my body?!
Perimenopause and menopause can make up nearly one third of our lives. These years deserve to be golden, not spent feeling confused, dismissed or like we’ve somehow lost ourselves.
And the symptoms are not always the ones we expect.
Vertigo
Brain fog
Weight gain or a changing body shape
Itchy or crawling skin
Burning mouth
Heart palpitations
Tinnitus
Joint pain
Frozen shoulder
Electric shock sensations
Changes in body odour
Dry eyes
Digestive changes
Sudden anxiety or rage
Feeling exhausted but somehow unable to sleep
Sometimes the strangest part is not knowing these things could be connected.

A little sneak PAUSE…
In two weeks, we’re launching a brand-new four-week July series designed for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
As hormones shift, the way we recover, build muscle and respond to exercise can change. Maintaining strength becomes one of the most important investments we can make in our future health.
PAUSE isn’t a lifting class.
It’s the class that supports the lift.
We’ll build the mobility, stability, balance and core strength that support squats, deadlifts, presses and carries; whether you already strength train or you’re building the confidence to begin.
Think of it as the work behind the work.
Because strong muscles support strong bones.
And strong women support each other.

Method 45: Thursday at 6:30am
A must-try class. Bring heavy weights or ankle weights to make it extra spicy. Forty-five minutes of intensity, shaky muscles and a big slap of dopamine before most people are even awake.
Mat Pilates: Friday at 6:30am
Classically inspired Pilates taught by an unhinged early-morning instructor. Expect control, precision, deep core work and at least one moment where you question why something so small burns so much.
Mobility: Sunday at 11:00am
I’m covering for the mobility guru, Sam. Come for a deep stretch focused on hips, core and spinal mobility. The perfect Sunday reset.

People need community more than they need motivation.
Most of us aren’t looking for another person to yell at us to work harder. We’re looking for connection. A place to belong. Something we may have lost somewhere along the way.
Making friends as an adult can be hard. Sometimes community starts by showing up somewhere new, slightly nervous, and hoping the right people are there.
Tomorrow morning, I’m heading to Kate's for her 6:00 a.m. Spin Class. It’s a different community, but still a very special one. A different version of Morning Club, but still very much Morning Club.
