Summertime show catch up! So many shows in the last few weeks, experienced and new riders made for some great teamwork!
Mid to end of July we competed at the Jump with Hope for Kids with Cancer hosted by Amberlea Meadows. We had some hot weather followed by a down pour the evening before the last day and for the first time in 25 years the show had to cancel that day. Regardless our crew of riders did great! Congratulations to Mia and Sophie on being the 2’0 Hunter Champion and Reserve Champion at their first A level competition! 🥇 🥈
Moving on with a new crew the following week we competed at the Picco Horse Show hosted by Varenna Equestrian. Lovely venue to get some of our junior and amateurs and young horses out to! Solid rounds and placings, Congratulations to Elodie and Parrish for their .90m Championship 🥇 and .80m Championship 🥇respectively. Weather was hot again but had a decent breeze all week.
Lastly back down to Calgary for one of my favourite competitions- the Paramount Summer Classic. Such a fun atmosphere, awesome rings, and great experiences! Everyone did so well - Nikki, Lori, Parrish and Poker all successfully completed their first Derby in the big Grand Prix ring. Sophie/Kitty had really good rides in their first jumper classes, and Mia / Asiah came home with a Reserve Championship in the 2’3” Long Stirrup Hunters. Everyone placed well all weekend!
So proud of everyone for their hard work and commitment to team Pinnacle this summer!!

While our crew is busy building courses, excitement for Varenna's Training Days II is building even faster! Being our final event of the year, this is one you absolutely won't want to miss. We are offering divisions from 0.50m all the way up to 1.30m, so there is a perfect height for every horse and rider.

Had a great trip down to RMSJ for Midsummer Classic I, July 8-12th. Our small trio of Lori/Souly, Parrish/Misty, and Jenn/Scylla made the trip for a very hot 🥵 week of showing. It was on my bucket list to compete in the St. George’s Derby day and we came home with a 3rd place in the 1.20m. Scylla was quite looky 👀 at some of the naturals but jumped with a great positive attitude!! We also placed 1st in the 1.30m on Wednesday and 1st in the 1.25m Modified Grand Prix! Love love love my 🔥 🐉 🦄 ….she is a competitive mare with a lot of ♥️!!
Parrish and her partner Misty competed successfully in the .75m & .85m jumpers for the first time, many placings 2, 2, 3, 4, 5th. Lori and Souly had some very successful rounds coming home with 2nd, 4th, & 5th placings and a lot of learning that set them up for success at our next show - Amberlea Jump with Hope.

Wow it has already been a busy summer! Lots of updates for our Pinnacle crew!
We were very pleased to host the wonderful Julie Leiken for an EquiBalance clinic at the end of June. While Mother Nature had other plans about us riding outside, the weather was a lot warmer for Julie than our usual Fall clinics. She was also introduced to our mosquitoes!
Always appreciate Julie’s insight as she is a big asset to our program at Pinnacle Equestrian. Looking forward to the next clinic….stay tuned for Fall dates!!😁
