If you see smoke or fire, don't assume someone else has already reported it.

Call 911 immediately. Early reporting helps firefighters respond quickly and can prevent a small fire from becoming a major wildfire.

Stay alert, follow local burn restrictions, and help keep Annapolis County safe this wildfire season.

🔥 Today marks Canadian Wildland Firefighter Day, a chance to shine a light on the incredible people who work around the clock to keep our communities and beautiful landscapes safe.

From initial attack to sustained action, these highly skilled professionals work in challenging conditions, often far from home, to keep Canadian safe. Their efforts are strengthened by the dispatchers, aviation personnel, incident management teams, logistics staff, and many others who support wildland fire response every day.

To the firefighters, support teams, and families waiting for them at home - we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for your incredible service. 🍁 Stay safe.
