Thank you to our firefighters

Today is Firefighters' National Memorial Day.

It was established in 2017 by the Canadian Parliament and is a day to honour those who have fallen in the line of duty and recognize firefighters in our own community and across Canada for their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to serve their communities. We also recognize the sacrifice, dedication, and support of their families.

Flags at Mississippi Mills municipal facilities have been lowered to recognize the day.

The gates are open and the fairgrounds are buzzing! There’s a FULL day of livestock shows, agricultural education, family entertainment, midway excitement and live music waiting for you at the 166th Almonte Fair!

It's time! Online league registration starts tonight, September 8, at 8 pm!

A couple of tips:
If you're new to the club, make sure you have an account by going to https://almontecurling.ca/index.php/curling/new-members and registering with us.
Check your account login before registration opens to make sure it's up to date.
The registration page at Members Home > League Information > League Signup for Members will be activated at 8 pm.
All members on a fixed team must register, but it's the first team member's registration time that will be used if there are more teams than spots available.
Check out our Free Agent listing if you're looking for a new team or a new team member in a fixed team league.

If you have questions, come see us at the Mississippi Mills Community Open House at the John Levi Community Centre on September 9.

As the sailing season winds down, Team Birtwistle would like to thank those who generously donated to ACC causes through the silent auction at the Almonte Cup 2026. We loved sailing with you and hope you enjoyed the experience. We had lots of laughs, some exhilarating moments and spectacular sunsets.

I would personally like to thank my teammates for all of their hard work to make this project an exceptional success. I would also like to give a shout out to Traversy custom catering for donating catering for one of our sunset cruises.
