That might be the most powerful transformation of all.
We spend so much of our lives collecting things that were never ours to carry. Other people’s expectations. Society’s definition of success. Diet culture. Perfectionism. Trauma. Guilt. Fear. The need to constantly prove our worth.
Then one day we wake up exhausted, wondering why we don’t recognize ourselves anymore.
Healing isn’t about creating a new version of yourself.
It’s about remembering who you were before the world told you who you had to be.
At SHARIF FITNESS, yes, we build stronger bodies. But more importantly, we are building a stronger humanity.
We help women trust themselves again.
Set boundaries without guilt.
Take up space unapologetically.
Fuel their bodies instead of punishing them.
Choose strength over self-doubt.
And discover that confidence isn’t something you earn, it’s something you uncover.
Your fitness journey is never just about losing weight.
It’s about losing the stories that have been weighing you down.
Because when you heal your relationship with your body, you begin to heal your relationship with yourself.
And from that place…everything changes.
✨ The strongest woman you’ll ever become isn’t someone you’re chasing.
She’s the woman you’ve been all along.

Been loyal to the assignment for over 3 decades.
They have turned healing into an individual journey. I mean, sure, there are definitely times in our healing journey when we have to face ourselves, we have to approach things from an individualistic perspective.
However, from the beginning of time, humans lived in communities, collectives, and tribes.
Healing also requires community. I think for women, one of our biggest challenges when implementing a consistent exercise and wellness program is that we lack a support system. Our families and our loved ones are not equipped with the tools and resources to support our journeys. There are many reasons for that too many for this caption.
Women need other women. To heal, to share, to support and to love. Our ladies only Muay Thai classes are not just a fun and positive healthy way to get fit and learn the basics of Muay Thai. At SHARIF FITNESS, I am proud to have created a space which allows women from all different backgrounds to come together, support one another, and share a space where we can all become stronger and empower ourselves in ways we’ve always wanted, but didn’t know how.
Join the movement that started it all. Fun, safe, beginner, friendly supportive environment that focusses on technique and not just FITNESS.

Let’s get a second opinion! 😆
I was never raised to be quiet.
I was raised to take up space.
I just took up more space than my community was comfortable with.
I chose a life that many considered too bold, too unconventional, too questionable.
That came with judgment. But I'd rather be criticized for living authentically than praised for abandoning myself.
One of the hardest truths I've had to accept is that many of my accomplishments in the fitness industry have gone unnoticed within my own community. Sometimes it feels easier to celebrate women who fit familiar expectations than women who challenge them.
I've often felt that women who are outspoken, ambitious, and unwilling to shrink themselves are treated with suspicion. Meanwhile, the ideal of the endlessly self sacrificing, soft spoken, and agreeable woman is still held up as the standard.
Ironically, that isn't the lesson I take from Islam. My faith teaches me that women have dignity, rights, purpose, and a responsibility to care for themselves as well as others. Living courageously and honoring your own potential does not make you less faithful.
If my courage intimidates you, look closer. It was never meant to make you feel small. It was meant to remind you that you're allowed to be free too.
I'm not here to compete with women.
I'm here to help them fight for themselves.
Your hips have two choices:
Squat… 🏋🏽♂️🏋🏽♀️
or whatever that is. 💃😂
Have a great week.
Another Sunday, another prep for the week. What a lot of people fail to understand is that us FITNESS folk maintain a lot of repetitive behaviours. Consistency, frequency, repetition is the key to maintaining a healthy body, whether it’s through movement and performance or building and maintaining muscle to keep healthy fat levels.
Results don’t happen from mediocre effort. I have never met anybody who succeeded at anything by half assing it. I mean, of course there are exceptions to every situation. However, whatever you succeeded at in life you worked hard for; it didn’t come easy so why should your fitness results?
I will never understand why people don’t have patience for their bodies, their fitness goals and fitness results.
I have been juicing regularly for four years. I have also been doing juice cleanses for about the same time. I didn’t just do it once and think that somehow I’m going to magically maintain my fitness goals.
my goal for the past 10 years is to avoid depending on the medical industry at any cost and return to holistic medicine and science and my faith to guide my health and wellness and evolution of my body.
How do you prep for the coming week? Is it something that you struggle with or is it now part of your routine?
Behaviours and habits need practice and repetition to be embodied. Keeps trying, keep striving, keep planning to live a healthier life. It’s the best journey you’ll ever take.
Happy Sunday. Hope you had a rejuvenating weekend. See you all in the gym next week.
