🌀Meet the horse Monday: Mischief🌀

Hi everyone, it’s me, Mischief! 🥰 I’m an Appendix gelding who came to Shauna in 2020, before Smiling Faces Equestrian even existed—so you could say I’ve been here from the very beginning! 🫶

I definitely live up to my name because I’m always finding a little bit of trouble. I’m proudly Shauna’s baby, so you could say I’ve got a pretty special place in her heart! 💗 And yes… I’m definitely a little spoiled because of it. 🤭

When I’m not busy getting into mischief, you can find me doing what I do best… JUMPING! 🏇✨ I’m an amazing jumper and absolutely love showing off over the fences!

I love apples and carrots, but watch your fingers because I get VERY excited when treats are involved! 🍎🥕 My best friends are CeCe and Rodeo, and while I love my people, I’m not the biggest fan of new things.

🍫Meet the Horse Monday: Hershey🍫

Hi, I’m Hershey, but you can call me Hershey’s Chocolate! 🤎 I’m a Thoroughbred, born April 15, 2016, and I came all the way from Florida after racing for 4 years. I arrived at Smiling Faces Equestrian in October 2023, and I’ve been enjoying my much slower-paced life ever since! 🥰

I’m fully blind in my right eye, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit! I love keeping everyone on their toes with my… creative lack of coordination. 😂 One thing I definitely don’t enjoy, though, is the cold. 🥶 I much prefer being bundled up and cozy!

I LOVE playing games! It might take me a little while to understand a new concept, but once I figure it out, I never forget it. 🧠

Want to make me really excited? Bring me a banana! 🍌 I also LOVE mints 🌿 and getting scratches behind my right ear.

But my absolute favourite thing is being brushed. Especially my mane. Give me a good brushing and I’ll be so relaxed that I’ll practically fall asleep. 😴💕

My best friends are CeCe & Aphrodite, and I’m always ready to have some fun. And of course, I have a favourite person too — Ava! 🥰 She always gives me extra love, extra scratches, and plenty of attention, and I definitely wouldn’t complain about getting spoiled a little more.

And honestly, I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. 🤎 I may have left my racing days behind, but I’ve found something even better — a place where I get to be loved, spoiled, and just be a horse. 🍫🐴
