🌲 Mountain Update: Forestry Work Underway

We wanted to provide our community with a quick update regarding ongoing work happening on the mountain.

Forestry operations are currently taking place as part of an important initiative to address spruce budworm impacts in the area, helping to reduce wildfire risk and prevent further spread.

This work is being led by the Mountain Resorts Branch of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport and may result in intermittent noise from chainsaws, logging equipment, and other machinery while crews are operating.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work is completed to help protect the mountain and surrounding area.

With the current Fire Ban in effect across the area, we’re asking everyone visiting Sasquatch Mountain and the surrounding community to please do their part to help keep our mountain, forests, and neighbours safe.

Whether you’re staying at a local Airbnb, camping nearby, visiting the mountain, or simply enjoying the area, please be mindful of the current conditions and respect all fire restrictions in place.

A small spark can have a big impact. Please help us protect the place we all love. ❤️

We are sharing this on behalf of the family in the hopes of helping bring Kayla home.

Kayla Boisvert, 28, was last seen at approximately 2:15 a.m. on July 27 at the Shambhala Music Festival near Salmo, BC. She has not been heard from since, which is completely out of character.

If you were at the festival, were travelling in the area, or have any information—no matter how small—it could make a difference.

Please contact the Salmo RCMP at 250-357-2212 with any information.

📣 Operational & Hours Update | July 17–19

We're excited to welcome back the Canadian Archery Challenge to Sasquatch Mountain Resort next weekend! 🏹

To ensure a safe experience for all guests and competitors, please note the following operational changes for July 17–19:

⏰ 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

⚠️ Please Note:
• Our mountain bike rentals will not be operating during the event.
• Our disc golf courses will be closed for the weekend due to active archery competition taking place throughout the mountain.

Both the Chalet and Molly Hogan's are open to the public, so everyone is welcome to stop by for a meal or drink!

If you're planning to participate in the Canadian Archery Challenge, event registration and tickets must be purchased directly through .

We’ll be showing World Cup games during our regular opening hours:
Friday – Sunday | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Please note that we will not be opening early or extending our hours for games that start outside of our regular schedule.
