Martin Seetso and Angel Chakanyuka are off to a great start at the WorldTennis J100 in Pretoria, South Africa.

🇧🇼 Angel Chakanyuka defeated Lisa Jonker of South Africa 6-4, 6-4 in the Girls’ Singles Draw. She will next face Lea Dube of South Africa tomorrow.

🇧🇼 Martin Seetso recorded an impressive 6-1, 6-1 victory over Philips DeBruin of South Africa in the Boys’ Singles Draw. He will face Ethan Andrew Peiber of Austria tomorrow.

Botswana Tennis Association: Growing International Tennis Opportunities 🇧🇼🎾

As we approach the last quarter of the year, the Botswana Tennis Association is proud to reflect on a very successful year so far.

The Association has hosted 11 international tennis tournaments, ranging from regional 14 & Under competitions to professional men’s and women’s tournaments. These tournaments have delivered positive results for our players by providing valuable international match experience, ranking points and opportunities to compete against players from different countries.

They have also created important opportunities for our officials, coaches and other tennis stakeholders to gain valuable international experience.

We would like to sincerely thank all our sponsors, partners and stakeholders for their continued support in growing tennis in Botswana.

As we enter the final quarter of the year, we will be hosting more international tennis tournaments, and we appeal to more corporates, organisations and individuals to come on board and partner with us.

Together, we can grow tennis, create opportunities for our players and officials, and position Botswana as a leading tennis destination in the region. 🇧🇼🎾

Big fight from Ntunga today in Washington 💪🇧🇼

He won his second-round match at the J300 College Park against Canada's Xavier Massotte after a fierce 2h30 battle: 7-6(5), 7-6(8).

After winning a very tight first set, Ntunga found himself 0-4 and then 1-5 down in the second. He fought his way back point by point and game by game to force a tiebreak.

The tiebreak was another huge battle, with the two players going all the way to 8-8 before Ntunga finally took it 10-8.

He is now through to the last 16 and will face tomorrow #4 seed Dan Brand of Israel, currently ranked #23 in the World Tennis junior world rankings.

A really big fighting performance from Ntunga today 🇧🇼🎾

🇧🇼 Ntungamili Raguin Takes on J300 College Park

Botswana’s Ntungamili Raguin is competing at the World Tennis J300 College Park in Maryland, USA, one of the major junior tournaments on the international calendar. The tournament is being held from 24–29 August 2026 at the Junior Tennis Champions Center.

Ntungamili, seeded No. 14, will begin his singles campaign in the second round, where he will face the winner of Nicholas Pedraza of the USA and Xavier Massote of Canada.

The Botswana youngster is competing in a highly competitive field featuring some of the world’s top junior players. 🇧🇼🎾

🎾 WORLD TENNIS J30s CONCLUDE IN GABORONE

The two-week World Tennis J30 tournament concluded yesterday at the National Tennis Center in Gaborone.

The tournaments attracted players from the USA, Europe, Asia, South Africa, Namibia and across the African continent, providing our players with valuable international match play and an opportunity to earn international ranking points.

A huge congratulations to Martin Seetso and Angel Chakanyuka on winning their first international doubles titles! 🏆👏

Congratulations also to Jack Thornhill of South Africa, who won both Boys’ Singles tournaments, and Mari van Schalkwyk of Namibia, who won both Girls’ Singles tournaments. 🏆🎾

We thank all the players, coaches, parents, officials, sponsors and supporters who contributed to the success of these tournaments.

The international tennis action continues in Botswana, with World Tennis J60 and J100 tournaments returning in November 2026.
