Brazilian forward Arthur Sales has not been training with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sales is yet to return to South Africa, and sources at the club have allayed the supporters' fears that he could be on his way out.

"No, he's injured and has not recovered. That's why you don't see him at the moment," said a well-placed source at Chloorkop.

Sales has been recovering from a shoulder injury sustained towards the end of last season, though he managed to play until the last game. He's now been recuperating at home.

At this stage, it's not clear when he would return to training.

The 24-year-old made 42 appearances last season, scoring six goals and creating eight assists.

Meanwhile, Sundowns left the country on Thursday evening to travel to Austria for pre-season.
