Sir Seretse’s vision of unity, democracy, peace, and selfless leadership laid the foundation for the Botswana we are proud of today. His commitment to building a nation where every Motswana could thrive continues to inspire us.

At BSSA, we honour his legacy by promoting unity in diversity, discipline, excellence, and teamwork in and out of the pool. Just as Sir Seretse led with courage and vision, we encourage our swimmers, coaches, officials, and supporters to lead with integrity and strive for greatness.

The National Open Water Swimming Team made its footprint at the Mauritius Open Water Championships on 6-7 June 2026, raising the flag high against strong international competition.

Benco got 3rd for Zone IV in the 5k open water for his age.
