We are proud to announce that our very own
Jigdrel Wangchuk, Program Head & National Baseball Head Coach and Yeshi Gyeltshen, Grassroots Development Coach have successfully completed the 3 day Basic Fitness and Strengthening Course.

The intensive training was jointly organized by the Bhutan Football Federation (BFF) and the Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC).

At BBSA, we believe that strong coaches build strong athletes. This course equips our team with better knowledge in fitness and injury prevention helping us take Bhutanese baseball and softball to the next level.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to BFF and BOC for organizing this valuable program and for their continued support in developing sports in Bhutan.

In 2013, Bhutan Baseball (now BBSA) held its 1st senior league, BCCB Bulls took the crown 🏆

After a 7-year gap, BBSA became an official BOC & WBSC member in 2021. With 5 years of consistent training and programs since, we're now pushing forward to inspire the next generation of Bhutanese ballplayers.

The dream is growing. 🇧🇹🙌

After three exciting weeks of coaching and selection, we are proud to announce that the teams for the Inaugural Inter House Baseball5 League – Junior and Senior Category at Dechencholing HSS are finally set.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗦𝗢 𝗙𝗔𝗥:

Phase 1 – Coaching Sessions (3 Weeks)

· BBSA coaches conducted sessions from Class 4 to 10
· 570 students learned the basics of Baseball5
· Introduced the fast paced urban format to the entire school

Phase 2 – Identification of Probables

· 243 probable players identified by our coaches
· Based on talent, attitude, and potential

Phase 3 – Final Selection

· ✅ 80 players selected – Junior Category (Class 4–6)
· ✅ 80 players selected – Senior Category (Class 7–10)
· Total of 160 players across 8 Junior Houses and 8 Senior Houses

Bhutan's FIRST baseball and softball club ,Thimphu Red Panda Baseball & Softball Club was formed in early 2019, led by Namgyel Wangchuk.

3 BOC-RTC recipients came from this club. They're still playing and coaching to grow the game.

Today, the Red Pandas are 1 of 6 registered clubs under Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association.

The selection for the Inaugural Baseball5 Inter-House League , 2026 continues to gain momentum at Dechencholing HSS.

Yesterday, we conducted selections for Grade 4 and Grade 6 and the talent on display was incredible.

𝗬𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗗𝗔𝗬'𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:

🎯 Grade 4 & 6 selection Complete.
📋 69 probable players competed for their spots
👦👧 48 players selected for the Junior Category (Grade 4–6)

These young athletes will now represent their houses in the upcoming Inter-House League!

𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘.

Our coaches are conducting the final selection sessions today for:

🎯 Grade 5 – Junior Category
🎯 Grade 9 – Senior Category
🎯 Grade 10 – Senior Category

This will complete the roster for all 8 Junior and 8 Senior House Teams.

🎯 Grade 4 & 6 : Selection happening today.

After two incredible weeks, the Baseball5 coaching sessions at Dechencholing HSS have officially concluded.
Yesterday, we wrapped up with our final session completing a journey that introduced Baseball5 to students from Grade 4 to 10.

2-𝑾𝑬𝑬𝑲 𝑻𝑶𝑻𝑨𝑳:
570 kids trained and introduced to Baseball5. From these, our coaches have selected 243 probable players to move forward to the next stage.

𝑾𝑯𝑨𝑻'𝑺 𝑵𝑬𝑿𝑻 – 𝑭𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑳 𝑺𝑬𝑳𝑬𝑪𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑷𝑯𝑨𝑺𝑬

By the end of this week, BBSA will finalize:

✅ 8 Houses : Junior Category (Grade 4–6) – Final players selected
✅ 8 Houses : Senior Category (Grade 7–10) – Final players selected

The final roster for the Inaugural Baseball5 Inter-House League for 2026 will be set.
