30 years spent on Earth, and I have arrived to such a bliss

A place of surrender, the most authenticity, AND purpose 🖤

To everyone that has been in my journey and a part of this journey with me, get ready for 30s because it is about to get SO good 🧘‍♀️

What happens when you finally open your heart?

Maybe you discover that there was never anything missing.

The Bhagavad Gita says:

“I am seated in everyone’s heart; from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness.” — Bhagavad Gita 15.15

And again:

“The Lord resides in the heart of every being.” — Bhagavad Gita 18.61

The Yoga Sutras speak of turning inward toward the lotus of the heart — a place of inner light, stillness, and freedom from sorrow.

We spend so much of our lives searching outside of ourselves.

For love.
For belonging.
For purpose.
For God.
For someone or something to finally make us feel whole.

But what if the path was never about finding something?

What if it was about opening?

Opening the places we learned to protect.
Opening the places we were afraid to feel.
Opening the heart beneath the armor, beneath the stories, beneath the identities we created to survive.

And maybe when we finally become brave enough to soften…

we are surprised by what we find.

Not emptiness.

Not brokenness.

But a quiet presence that has been there all along.

A love that was never waiting for us to become worthy.

A wisdom that was never outside of us.

A light that could not be destroyed by everything we went through.

Maybe opening the heart isn’t about finding something new.

Maybe it’s about remembering what has always been there.

And perhaps that is the greatest teaching of all:

What you have been searching for may already be seated within your heart. 🤍

Guru — in Sanskrit — means dispeller of darkness. The one who brings you from ignorance into the light.

Two years ago, I wrote a letter to God. I told him I was ready. Ready for my guru. My dispeller of ignorance. The one who would finally bring me into the light.

Not long after, the biggest gift of my life showed up at my door.

He has taught me the deepest, most unconditional love I’ve ever known. He has also taught me how to dive into the darkest parts of myself — because that’s the only way to find your truth.

And the irony? I was always an “I will never want a dog” person.

Guru had four legs.

So maybe your guru isn’t the one in the white robe. Sometimes he’s the one you swore you’d never let in.

Every guru is a mirror. I am because you are. You are because I am.

Just for today — reflect on the past year. How many gurus have you really had the opportunity to come across? How can you dispel your ignorance for today? How can you step closer into the light?
