While the government discourages women and men from active self protection,especially involving weapons.
And as we know the penalties for carrying a weapon for self protection is approaching the draconian,having said that there's no reason not to practice weapons training in the privacy of your home,simply because in the street you may have an opportunity to acquire a weapon.
So, continue your knife practice, master the baton or stick.
The life you save might be your own.

November last year I taught my Close-Quarter Handgun Combatives course for the 3rd time at the Centro de Treinamento Tatico (CTT) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Next week on May 22nd I will be teaching this course again at the same location. This course is a spin-off of my CQ-FIT program, or Close-Quarters Force Integration Tactics where I address the full integration of fi****ms, edged-weapons, impact-weapons and empty-hands at extreme close proximity. This particular program is one full training day with focus on the fi****ms portion of the CQ-FIT curriculum.
