From Lanaken to St Tropez: Belgium is ready!

🇧🇪 Belgian colours take centre stage this week! 🔥🐎

And this week, there is no looking past Lanaken! On home soil at Zangersheide , the world’s best 5-, 6- and 7-year-old showjumpers come together for the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses. A huge Belgian contingent will be chasing those coveted World Championship titles, with plenty of familiar names in action. 🌍🇧🇪

But that’s not all in Lanaken… The Belgian Jumping Championship is also on the programme, meaning we will crown a new national jumping champion on Saturday! Add the FEI Sires of the World and you have one seriously packed week of top-level jumping on Belgian soil. 🔥🏆

Meanwhile, another major appointment awaits our Red Musketeers in Gassin, St Tropez. 🇫🇷
Abdel Saïd, Jérôme Guéry, Jos Verlooy and Niels Bruynseels are entered for the CSIO5* Longines League of Nations, the final qualifying leg before the big Final in Barcelona. One more important team battle ahead! 💪🇧🇪

And beyond the jumping arenas, our colours will be represented as well:
🔹 Eventing: Lara de Liedekerke-Meier and Sarah Dessambre head to Blenheim for the CCI4* for 8- and 9-year-old horses.
🔹 Endurance: Freddy Meurrens competes in the CEI1 100 km in Florac*.

Plenty to follow, plenty to cheer for, and an especially exciting week on home soil! 🇧🇪❤️

🥉🇧🇪 BELGIUM ON THE PODIUM AT SPRUCE MEADOWS!

What a performance from our Belgian team in the legendary *BMO Nations’ Cup at the CSIO5 Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’**!

On one of the biggest and most demanding stages in show jumping, Roy Van Beek, Thibault Philippaerts, Leonie Peeters and Emilie Conter, under the guidance of Chef d’Équipe Peter Weinberg, fought their way onto the podium.

Belgium qualified for the second round in fifth place with 17 penalties, but then came the comeback. 🔥

⭐ Thibault Philippaerts & Lyandro MDB – CLEAR
⭐ Emilie Conter & Portobella van de Fruitkorf – CLEAR
⭐ Leonie Peeters & Kameroen EB Z – 4 penalties

With just 4 penalties added in the second round, Belgium climbed all the way to third place with a total of 21 penalties! 🇧🇪🥉

Germany took the win on 4 penalties, ahead of Ireland on 17, with Belgium completing the podium ahead of Great Britain.

Nine nations started, a huge and demanding 1.60m Nations’ Cup course awaited them, and our relatively young Belgian squad delivered when it mattered most.

Third place at Spruce Meadows. On that stage, in that company… one to be very proud of. ❤️🖤

Belgium’s Juniors take the win in the CSIO Juniors Nations Cup Final in Kronenberg! 🔥

After a brilliant final round, our young Belgian team finishes on top and brings home the victory. What a performance, what a team! 🖤💛❤️

Huge congratulations to our athletes Witse Geysen, Elise Van Regenmortel, Estelle Van Tricht & Robin Vermeir, Chef d'équipe Denutte, the horses and the entire team behind them!

🇧🇪 Strong Belgian performances in Barroca d’Alva! 🐎🌍

Two Belgian combinations successfully completed today’s FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Horses, covering 120 km with their 8-year-old horses.

🔥 Louna Schuiten & Idjani De Passille delivered a very strong performance, finishing 16th, and recording the best recovery time of the entire competition! 👏

👏 Peter Bastijns & Nogales van Knedo also brought their championship to a successful finish, taking 46th place.

Completing 120 km at a World Championship with a young horse is an achievement in itself. Congratulations to Louna, Peter, their horses and everyone behind these combinations! 🖤💛❤

Tomorrow, two Belgian combinations will take on the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Horses in Barroca d’Alva, Portugal!

Both combinations successfully passed today’s Horse Inspection ✅ and are ready for the 120 km challenge tomorrow.
