3 races in difficult conditions under a sunny sky

The second day of the International Nieuwpoortweek started with a postponement. When the sailors took the sea it was still very calm but the excellent Race Committee took the challenge and managed to get 3 races in for each class. The sailors entered the harbour again at 7 pm. The same conditions for day 3 with unusual hot weather again. Great competition on the leaderboard with a strong American delegation charging the top 3 in the Optimist BelgiumClass. Perfect first day of the Nieuwpoortweek
On both courses all fleets sailed two races in a light northwesterly wind of 10 knots. Same conditions experted on the second day. Launch at 12.30 hours
Meteo : 320° going to 290° 6-8 knots at the start going to possible 10-12 knots later.
