"There would be no exciting horse competitions without quality horses" Thus, in 1930, the name of the Society was changed to the “Belgian Half-Blood”.

In 1920, the “Society for Encouraging the Breeding of Horses” for the Army was established. While the primary aim was to mount the Belgian Army, some breeders sought to produce lighter, more elegant saddle horses, by using “blood”. By the end of the Second World War, only a few mares and some trotter stallions were left, so breeders worked diligently to rebuild breeding farms and develop new ones. With equestrian sports becoming more popular by mid-19th century, breeders worked to improve their breeding programs by importing mares and stallions from around Europe, but in particular from France. By 1967, as a reward for the efforts and results obtained over the last half century, the Association becomes the “Royal Society”.

📍Cypress Head Sport Horses - Port Orange, FL

The fillies have spoken, and they mean business 🌸💪🏼

On September 27, the SBS Inspection Team headed to Cypress Head Sport Horses, where we had a particularly busy day with 20 foals presented and 18 inspected. And what a day it was: 14 foals earned Premium titles, with the top of the scoreboard turning into an almost all-filly affair!

Taking the first place was UDORA CH (Con Capilot x Danciano), an elegant and very feminine filly who scored an outstanding 51,5 points. Particularly graceful at the trot, with excellent suppleness and leg engagement, she also claimed the distinction of becoming the highest-scoring foal of the Inspection Tour so far, taking the title from Ultraviolet SSF.

Just behind her, UNFORGETTABLE BLUE CH (Con Capilot x Carry on MF) represented the c**ts with 51 points, showcasing a compact sport type, powerful hindquarters, excellent movement for all three gaits, with 9s for both his trot and canter. A tie with the filly U'DAXIA CH (M-Daxton CH x Danciano) which also scored 51 points, with a particularly supple and dynamic trot and great hind end engagement.

The battle for the remaining podium spot was equally tight, with UNIVERSAL CHIME CH (Central Time x Pablo) and UZURI CH (Central Time x Redwine both finishing on 50,5 points. Two more fillies rounding out an exceptionally strong group, making it nearly a filly-only podium! 🏆

A huge thank you to Donna Belcher - Cypress Head Sport Horses for welcoming the team and presenting such a large and high quality group of youngsters it certainly was a great and a filly-powered day! 🌸🐴

The SBS Team will now continue towards Marion County for the last few Floridian stops before driving up to Georgia. 🔜

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
📍Darnell Dressage/Marcus Fyffe Dressage - Loxahatchee, FL

A Dressage Star in Loxahatchee! ✨

On Friday, September 25, the SBS Inspection Team headed to Loxahatchee, visiting the facilities of Marcus Fyffe Dressage to assess Olav (Kilimanjaro x Krack C), a 2019 KWPN stallion bred by J. Huls and owned by international Grand Prix rider Claire Darnell.

Already competing in FEI 7-year-old classes, this stunning chestnut certainly made an impression, together with rider Claire. The pair showed off Olav’s three excellent gaits, suppleness, elasticity, engagement and impressive rideability, while his excellent temperament and outstanding conformation completed the picture.

The stallion clearly caught the judge’s attention, earning 54 points with 9s all accross the board, a Premium title and his SBS lifetime license!🏆🏅

A big thank you to Claire for presenting Olav so beautifully, and to Marcus Fyffe Dressage for welcoming our Inspection team in their incredible facilities.

After two stops focusing only on stallions, it's time to get back to our 2026 babies, and tomorrow's stop will largely balance it out, with approximately 20 to be inspected and registered!

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
📍Gold Crown Jumpers - Wellington, FL

On September 24th, the Inspection Team headed to Gold Crown Jumpers, where the focus was on both a promising new stallion and a familiar face from last year's Inspection Tour.

First up was REVERENT MOMENT (Casanova VD Dassenheide Z x Catoki), a 2023 SBS stallion bred by Gold Crown Jumpers. Already well trained and showing excellent rideability, this beautiful young stallion impressed the judge with his excellent canter, balance, intelligence and promising show jumping qualities. With a score of 50 points, her earned a well-deserved Premium Title. 🐎🏅

We then had the pleasure of seeing QUANTUM F (Velusinus to the Moon x Cardento) again, returning one year after his approval during the 2025 Inspection Tour, under saddle this time. Smart, willing and with a great temperament, Quantum F showed three nice gaits and provided the opportunity to confirm his license status with SBS. 🎉

It is always rewarding to see a stallion again after his initial approval and follow his progress - and even more so when we can meet the next generation, with his offsprings being presented at other stops along the way.

A huge thank you to Alex, Taylor and the Gold Crown Jumpers team for welcoming us and presenting those two stunning stallions.

One more stop in South Florida before driving back north. 🦩🌴

📍Exquisite Sports Horses - New Port Richey, FL

Florida is bringing the heat ☀️🐴

The SBS Inspection Tour continued through Florida, starting with a quick visit to Destiny Ranch in Bushnell, where we met the incredibly well tempered and unique 4YO coloured stallion QOPPA (N-Genius x Redwine). We are eager to see his potential develop under saddle and see what the future holds for him !

We then headed to Exquisite Sport Horses in New Port Richey, where four 2026 foals were presented — and all four earned Premium titles!

Leading the way was the truly impressive Premium SBS filly ULTRAVIOLET SSF (Quantum F x Invasor xx), who scored an outstanding 51 points, making her the new highest-scoring foal of the 2026 Inspection Tour so far. A lovely filly with a great hind end, excellent balance at the canter and beautiful impulsion. Close behind came SBS c**t UNWRITTEN SG (Quantum F x Out of Place xx) with 49 points and a Premium title, impressing with a great walk, a lovely neck attachment and great hind end. UR EXQUISITE ES completed the podium with 48.5 points and a Premium title, earning particular praise for his stunning shoulder movement at the trot.

There was an especially nice connection to last year's Inspection Tour as ULTRAVIOLET SSF and UNWRITTEN SG are both by Quantum F, the SBS stallion approved during the 2025 Inspection Tour! Seeing his offspring presented this year — and watching both earn Premium titles — is a great reminder that an inspection tour is also about seeing the next generation come through.

📍Brooke Miller Equestrian – Lafayette, LA

A quick stop in Louisiana! ⚜️💜
The SBS Inspection Tour made its way to Lafayette, for a visit to Brooke Miller Equestrian, where three horses were registered and two presented for inspection. 🐴

Both inspected horses were awarded the Premium title: R-BENISSIMO BME (Quidam Blue x O-Piloth), a 2023 gelding, scored 48 points, showing good conformation and a particularly nice shoulder movement at the trot.

QEEPSAKE BME (Casquino x Nicholas), a 2022 mare, scored 48.5 points, impressing with a lovely, supple trot and a good canter.
The third horse registered was T-ANTE UP BME (Velusinus R x Dialed In xx), a 2025 filly.
All three horses were bred and owned by Brooke Miller, making this a lovely opportunity to see another US breeding programme on the SBS Inspection Tour.

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

📍 Accolade Farm – Grand Bay, AL

SBS makes its Alabama debut!

The 2026 Inspection Tour continued into new territory as the SBS team made its first-ever stop in Alabama, visiting Accolade Farm in Grand Bay.

Owned by international show jumper Holly Shepherd, Accolade Farm is well known in the US hunter and jumper scene. The breeding programme was inspired in part by Holly's success with two of her Grand Prix partners: Triompf, the Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve-sired gelding who competed up to 1.55 m, and CHS Krooze, a Kroongraaf x Cruise Oak mare. 🏆

Six horses were registered, with four presented for inspection — and the quality of the horses presented certainly made the trip to Alabama worthwhile.

The highest score of the day went to S-AF SOLAR (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Kroongraaf), who topped the inspection with an impressive 53.5 points and was awarded the Premium title. His full sibling S-AF LUNAR, who shares the exact same birth date, also earned a Premium title with 52 points.
Born 12 hours apart, the two siblings' names are a fitting nod — Solar and Lunar, two sides of the same day. 🌅

The chestnut SBS gelding R-WHF TOBEY MCGUIRE (Argent Moon x Clarimo), owned by Centerfold Farm LLC, also made quite the impression, earning 50.5 points and a Premium title, with praises for his free-moving trot, his ability over the fences and his willing attitude.

The day was rounded off by 5-year-old stallion P-CF CONFIDENTIAL (Bubamara x Maurice) owned by Centerfold Farm LLC and ridden by Trey Bennett, who scored an incredible 52.5 points, was awarded the Premium title and achieved lifetime stallion approval. His great hunter type, excellent attitude and behaviour, together with a strong topline, made him a particularly convincing addition to the SBS-approved stallion ranks.

The SBS team had an amazing time at Accolade Farm and could not have asked for more welcoming hosts. Their knowledge, passion and expertise made this first SBS visit to Alabama a real pleasure.

We will definitely be back!

The Inspection Tour then headed to Lafayette, LA before continuing on to Florida for the annual Floridian horse inspection marathon.

📍 Lone Star Sporthorses - Conroe, TX

ʜᴏᴡᴅʏ, what a great start to the Inspection Tour 2026! 🔥

The SBS is back on the North American soil for its annual Inspection Tour, and the first stop was in Conroe, Texas, once again hosted by Lone Star Sporthorses.
Three foals were presented for inspection — and oh boy, they did not disappoint.

Three foals, three premiums titles. 🌟

The bar was set quite high right from the very first inspected site, with 8s and even 9s already awarded by the judge.

Taking the highest score of the day was the stunning U-BETCHA LS (My Bluegatti LS x Berlin) with 50.5 points. An extremely well balanced filly with a canter to die for. Close behind her was UREKA LS (My Bluegatti LS x Chequille Z), just 0.5 points behind the top score of the day, with two impressive 8.5 awarded for her trot and her canter. UREVELLO LS (My Bluegatti LS x Nabab de Reve) completed the podium with a strong 48,5 score, earning praises for his trot.

All three foals were granted the Premium title, making for an impressive opening to the 2026 Inspection Tour.

Next up will be a first for the SBS Team, as the tour heads to a state never visited before: Alabama.
