Merryweather van ’t Leeuwerikenhof and Koen Vereecke take the win in Lanaken and crown themselves Belgian Champions.

Another major title for an Emerald van ’t Ruytershof offspring — and the perfect ending to an outstanding week for Emerald’s progeny at the World Championships.

From a World Champion in the 6-year-old final to a Belgian Champion at the highest level, Emerald continues to produce winners across generations.

Some things were already clear from the very beginning. 🤩

As the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses kicks off in Lanaken tomorrow, we’re taking it back to a very special moment in Emerald’s own story.

At just six years old, Emerald van ’t Ruytershof already showed the talent, quality and exceptional ability that would later take him to the very highest level of the sport — finishing 2nd in the World Championship Final in Lanaken. 🥈

This video from his jump-off on that final day remain just as impressive to watch today.

Years later, Emerald returns to Lanaken in a different way. Throughout the coming days, several talented young horses from his offspring will step into the same arenas where he once made his mark.

We wish all offspring of Eurohorse stallions Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, Nixon van ’t Meulenhof and Don VHP Z the very best of luck at this year’s World Championships. 🍀
