Frans Poelstra has been active in theatre since the age of 17, studying at the SNDO in Amsterdam and going on to collaborate with Mark Tompkins, Vera Mantero, David Zambrano and Steve Paxton. Based in Vienna since 2004, he has worked with Oleg Soulimenko, Christine Gaigg and Michikazu Matsune, and forms the performance duo United Sorry with Robert Steijn. Deeply involved in the inclusive art project Mellow Yellow, he has led workshops at Tanzquartier Wien, CCN-Montpellier and SNDO Amsterdam. His latest solo This moment with you premiered at Studio Brut in Brussels in April 2026.

We are about to start the Flying Low and Passing Through Intensive with , with following right after the Post-Intensive only Passing Through Week.

David shares 2 intensives a year: one in Improvisation (January) and one in Flying Low and Passing Through (September). We are now opening the door for other multi week intensives:

David Zambrano personally invites artists who he has met in his carreer and wants to support their continuous research and innovation in dance, performance, and improvisation. The only condition is to present something to the public at the end of the week.

Café con Leche is a 4 week intensive with 4 international teachers, all improvisers, all students and later all collaborators of David Zambrano for more than 20 years.

Their classes will feed each other, their styles will mix, they will combine their approaches into a 4 week study of improvisation physicality, spontaneous performance, and movement explosion.
