Ré nua do Chraobh Rua 🔴☀️⚫

Last week marked a historic moment for Gaelic Games in Brussels, with the amalgamation of the two clubs in the Belgian capital: Brussels Craobh Rua and the European Communities Gaelic Club.

By bringing together youths, adults, and parents under one organisation, we come closer to the clubs that many of us grew up with in Ireland and we cement Brussels as a leading centre for Gaelic Games on the continent.

The decision was backed by unanimous votes from both committees - and sealed with a handshake between club chairs Clíona McDonnell (Craobh Rua) and Eoghan O'Neill (EC Gaelic Club). Thanks to for hosting our EGM in their offices!

The clubs will unite under the name of Brussels Craobh Rua / Craobh Rua na Bruiséile, with a new crest to be designed in due course.

Great credit is due to both club committees, in particular Conchúr Caomhánach and Jane Brennan, who worked hard to iron out the details of the amalgamation.

Over the coming months, we will continue this work to ensure a smooth transition to this new chapter.

By combining our clubs, we create a community, uniting generations through Gaelic Games.

Our Ladies teamed up with and for the day. It proved to be a winning combination as they took home the Cup 🏆

Our senior and junior men battled to the semi-finals of the Cup and the Shield respectively, with both teams narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

A special mention to Margaux Mansanarez who was awarded player of the tournament 🌟
