We are pleased to announce that Abdurrahman Dursun, Mayor of Sultangazi, has been appointed ACES Ambassador in Europe for 2026–2030, in recognition of his strong commitment to sport and the outstanding work carried out in Sultangazi.

The appointment was celebrated last Saturday during a dinner between ACES President Gian Francesco Lupattelli and Mayor Dursun, on the occasion of a working visit to Genoa, Italy.

🏆 Rome will host the 38th European City of Sport Gala on 26 October 2026!

The ACES family will come together at the Hall of Honour of CONI to celebrate municipalities, regions and communities recognised for their outstanding commitment to sport, health, inclusion and active lifestyles.

The event will bring together leading institutional and sports representatives from across Europe while honouring the ACES 2026, 2027 and 2028 award winners and the recipients of the European Sport and Health Honours.

🌿🏃‍♀️ Sport Everywhere in Sultangazi!

As a proud European City of Sport 2026, Sultangazi continues to make sport more accessible, inclusive and sustainable for everyone.

Five days a week, around 1,500 women from the district’s 16 Women’s Sports Centers come together for nature walks in the beautiful Sultangazi City Forests. 🌳

An inspiring initiative promoting women’s participation in physical activity, healthy lifestyles and a true culture of . 💪✨

🏁 Motorsport passion in Onești, European City of Sport 2026! 🇷🇴

The Speed and Spirit Show brought together drift and rally drivers from Onești and across Romania, combining speed, emotion and community spirit.

The event also paid tribute to Adrian Răspopa, one of Romania’s most beloved rally drivers and a proud son of Onești. 🏎️
