The National Semiconductor Symposium & BEAR Summit 2026 was officially inaugurated by the ๐‡๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐†๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž'๐ฌ ๐‘๐ž๐ฉ๐ฎ๐›๐ฅ๐ข๐œ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐š๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ก, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐“๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ž ๐‘๐š๐ก๐ฆ๐š๐ง , ๐Œ๐, who delivered a visionary keynote address outlining the nation's roadmap toward becoming a globally competitive semiconductor destination.

In his address, the ๐‡๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ emphasized that the symposium is far more than a conference, it represents a national platform to unite policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and the global Bangladeshi semiconductor community in shaping the country's technological future. He reaffirmed the Government's vision of building a self-reliant, prosperous, and technology-driven Bangladesh, where semiconductors will play a pivotal role in powering the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolutions.

Highlighting the growing significance of semiconductors across artificial intelligence, robotics, healthcare, defense, renewable energy, data centers, consumer electronics, and space technologies, he noted Bangladesh's immense opportunity to establish a strong presence in this rapidly expanding global industry. He also expressed confidence that the country's semiconductor export ambitions for 2030 are achievable through coordinated national efforts.

๐“๐ก๐ž ๐‡๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ acknowledged the remarkable contributions of thousands of Bangladeshi semiconductor professionals working across the United States, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Europe, and other parts of the world. He called for stronger collaboration between the Government, academia, industry, entrepreneurs, research institutions, and the global Bangladeshi diaspora to accelerate the nation's semiconductor ecosystem.

Reaffirming the Government's unwavering commitment to the sector, he highlighted several strategic initiatives, including fiscal incentives, tax and duty exemptions on semiconductor manufacturing inputs, export incentives for semiconductor design services, startup funding, investment-friendly policies, and the continued development of specialized technology infrastructure to support innovation and industrial growth.

๐“๐ก๐ž ๐‡๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ also conveyed his sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA), and all stakeholders whose collective efforts made this landmark event possible. He also mentioned after RMG Sector, the Semiconductor Sector will be the next Growth Engine for Bangladesh. Concluding his address, he officially inaugurated the National Semiconductor Symposium & BEAR Summit 2026 and expressed optimism that the summit would foster new research collaborations, strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, and innovations that will propel Bangladesh's semiconductor industry to new heights.

At the National Semiconductor Symposium & BEAR Summit 2026, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐Ÿ๐š ๐‡๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ข๐ง, Professor at Purdue University and Chief Architect of the Silicon River Initiative, delivered a compelling keynote on Bangladesh's journey toward becoming a global semiconductor hub.

Highlighting the importance of innovation, talent development, and international partnerships, Professor Hussain emphasized that Bangladesh already possesses the talent needed to succeed. What remains is strengthening the ecosystem through strategic collaboration between academia, industry, and the government.

He inspired the audience with the vision of transforming Bangladesh into the "Silicon River" of the region encouraging the nation to strive for continuous improvement, embrace excellence over perfection, and work collectively toward building a technology-driven economy.
