We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Abdus Sadeque, a true pioneer of Bangladesh sports.

He was the first captain of the Bangladesh National Hockey Team and the first captain of the traditional Abahani club. Remarkably, he led both Abahani’s football and hockey teams as their inaugural captain, leaving an enduring legacy in the nation's sporting history.

In recognition of his immense contribution to sports, he was honored with the National Sports Award in 1996. He was also the elder brother of the Honorable Chairman of Bashundhara Group.

On behalf of Bashundhara Kings, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal peace, and bless him with the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous.

বসুন্ধরা কিংসের উন্নয়ন, সাফল্য এবং পেশাদার কাঠামো গড়ে তোলার পেছনে জনাব বায়াজিদ জুবায়ের নিপুর অবদান অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও স্মরণীয়। তাঁর নিষ্ঠা, দূরদর্শিতা এবং অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম ক্লাবকে আজকের অবস্থানে পৌঁছাতে বিশেষ ভূমিকা রেখেছে। মাঠের ভেতরে ও বাইরে তাঁর নেতৃত্ব এবং অবদান আমাদের সকলের কাছে অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস।
