Barbados Golf Club has become the soul of golfing in Barbados for local players as well as hotel gue

The golf course was reopened in 2000 after a period of reconstruction to the environmentally sensitive design specifications of Ron Kirby, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world. He redesigned the course to produce a fair, challenging and a pleasurable game for golfers of all levels of skill and competence.

Golf is better when it's shared... but it's just as rewarding when it's not. ⛳☀️

Some days, it's about catching up with friends over 18 holes.
Other days, it's just you, the course, and a little peace and quiet.
That's the beauty of golf. You can enjoy it at your own pace, whether you're looking for friendly competition, quality time with family, or a moment to yourself.
At Barbados Golf Club, every round is an opportunity to unwind, connect, and enjoy the outdoors.
So... are you the type to play with a foursome or enjoy a solo round? 👇🏌️

Texting is cool... but what if we drove around for 18 holes and talked instead? ⛳💬

Some of the best conversations don't happen over a screen; they happen between shots, riding to the next tee, celebrating the good ones, and laughing off the bad ones.

Golf gives you something that's hard to find these days: uninterrupted time with friends, family, or someone you've been meaning to catch up with.
Trade the group chat for the golf cart.

POV: Standing on the tee box at Hole 16 like you've got this... 😅

If you've played Barbados Golf Club, you already know Hole 16. Our signature par 3 has humbled plenty of golfers and created just as many unforgettable moments.

One perfect swing and you're walking off with a birdie.

That's golf. That's the challenge. That's the fun.

Share the word, we are hiring!

Due to heavy rain fall and water settling throughout the course we have take the decision to close for the day! See you tomorrow.

We've all played with that golfer... 😅

You can see the frustration building.
One more bad shot and the clubs might need a counselling session.
Then they step up, hit the ball...
🎯 "Slice."
🌳 Straight into the trees.

Suddenly, everyone becomes a swing coach:
"Keep your head down."
"You looked up."
"You were too quick."
"The wind got it." 😂

Golf has a funny way of keeping us humble, but that's what makes every round memorable.
🌳⛳🤣

This International Youth Day, we're celebrating the next generation of golfers, leaders, and changemakers. Golf teaches so much more than how to hit a great shot. It builds confidence, patience, discipline, resilience, respect, and problem-solving skills, and social networking qualities that benefit young people both on and off the course.

At Barbados Golf Club, we're committed to making golf accessible and welcoming for young people who want to learn, grow, and be part of a supportive community. Whether the goal is to play competitively, stay active, or simply try something new, every journey starts with a single swing.

The future of golf in Barbados depends on inspiring more young people to discover that this is a sport they can enjoy for life.

This International Youth Day, let's encourage the next generation to step outside, learn a new skill, build lasting friendships, and experience everything golf has to offer.
The future of golf starts here. And it starts with giving young people the opportunity to play. 💚⛳

Think breaking 100 is all about hitting longer drives? Think again.

At Barbados Golf Club, lower scores come from making smarter decisions and learning how to play the course, not fighting it. Every round is an opportunity to improve, and a few simple course management tips can make a big difference.

Here are 6 tips to help you break 100 at BGC:

⛳ 1. Stay on your fairway. A 200-yard drive in your own fairway is far better than a 260-yard drive from the next fairway, the rough, or behind the trees. Position beats power every time.

🌬️ 2. Play the wind, don't fight it. The easterly winds can completely change a hole, so choose your club wisely.

🏖️ 3. Watch out for hidden bunkers. Not every bunker is visible from the tee box. Think about where you want your ball to finish before pulling the driver.

🌊 4. Be smart on Hole 16. If you find the water, take your drop, or play safely to the left of the green, and give yourself a chance to save the hole. Don't let one mistake become three.

🧠 5. Accept the bogey. Course management beats hero shots. Sometimes the smartest play is getting back into position and moving on.

🎯 6. Sharpen your short game. Chipping and putting are where you'll save the most strokes and see your scores come down. We have both chipping and putting practice areas.

Golf isn't about playing perfectly; it's about making better decisions one shot at a time.
