Alan Burke lives in Barbados and surfs on a regular basis at one of the best waves in the Caribbean, Soup Bowls in Bathsheba, Barbados. His longtime friend Kelly Slater has said that Soup Bowls is one of his top three favorite waves in the world, stating that it has a “really good curve that allows all sorts of maneuvers and airs.” So if Alan has this wave in his backyard, why is he surfing in a wave pool?
