Last Sunday the chess players were in full swing creating art on the chess boards.
Playing chess non-stop for three hours.
Creating interesting positions, with nice tactical combinations and some games ending in check mate.
Retired professional artist-painter Gustave Nouel came to play chess.
On April 30 he won a chess tournament in Deventer, the Netherlands. Now Gustave has more time for chess and will be staying in Aruba until June.
This could mean that we'll see him again in the coffee room. We sure hope so!
Dimitri and Joscar are back for more chess.
Tomorrow the doors of the coffeeroom at the Protestant Church, in Oranjestad, will be open for chess from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Be there!
