Last Saturday the club held a fundraising trivia and music bingo night put on by our sponsors Woy Woy Hotel hosted by Allan of Brain Power Trivia.

A wonderful night of fun and laughter and some very happy winners of the meat trays, provided by The Butchers Chop, Woy Woy and avocado trays donated by S&S Peruch, Avocado Farm, Somersby.

Club members really enjoy these nights and we love supporting our local businesses.

The club has been awarded Marathon State Titles on the 1st, 2nd May 2027, which could see over 500 visitors to the Peninsular and Patonga over the weekend.

We are looking to showcase and promote the best local produce and hospitality the area offers.

Huli (capsize) training in the ultralight canoe. Our coaching team gave a shallow-water demo before paddlers practiced in deeper water. A great chance to refine our technique for the ultralight canoes, which handle differently and sit higher. Essential skills which we hopefully won’t need!

Trust your instincts, start a conversation if you notice a change in someone's behaviour, listen without judgment, and guide them to support if needed.

Congratulations to Mooloolaba Womens and Newcastle Mens 70+ teams who claims Silver and Gold in the V12 500m at IVF world Sprints.

While we have the excitement of members paddling at World Sprint's in Singapore, we also have a contingent heading north to Port Macquarie to take part in a 20km mini marathon along the river from Wauchope to Port.

We have paddlers in an OC6, OC2s, OC1 and even a surf ski. They have certainly put the hours of training in and some going well over the distance they thought they could achieve just a couple of months ago.

The club has been fortunate to be awarded a community grant from Ettalong Diggers.

The Club is looking forward to it's busiest season starting next week when paddlers join up with other clubs from across Queensland and NSW to participate in World Sprint Titles in Singapore.

Along with many regatta's the club will be participating in we will be hosting State Marathon Titles on the first weekend in May.

A wonderful opportunity for the local community to showcase the beautiful area we live in and promote our local products to hundreds of paddlers that will be visiting, to participate, some for the first time.
