🌿 HELP US GROW SOMETHING GOOD! 🌿
We are planting over 700 local native plants.

This weekend we’re getting started on the new Green Machine Native Gardens at Woodville Hockey Club, supported by Green Adelaide, and we’d love some help from our members, families and local community.
We’ll be preparing the garden beds and beginning the planting of local native species around Robert Haigh Reserve.
📅 Sunday 4 October & Monday 5 October
⏰ 9:00am – 1:00pm
📍 Robert Haigh Reserve, 50 Northgate Street, Woodville North
Come for an hour or stay for the full morning — no gardening experience is needed. If you can, bring gardening gloves, a hat, a bucket and a wheelbarrow and/or digging tools. Please wear enclosed shoes.
Refreshments will be provided and families are very welcome.
This is the first step in creating a greener, more attractive and environmentally friendly home for the Green Machine, so come along and help us get it started! 💚🌱
Message Andy on 0408268058 if you have any questions.

Woodville Hockey Club is working hard to replace our ageing playing surface and complete the project with a new full-colour LED scoreboard.
We are currently awaiting approval from the council and are now seeking support to help us complete the full upgrade. Once we have approval to replace the pitch we will be able to move ahead with the project.
Every contribution, large or small, will help us deliver a first-class facility for our players, members and wider community.
All donations through the Australian Sports Foundation are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.

Vale Jan Kuhl

Jan and the Kuhl family have made a significant and lasting contribution to Woodville Hockey Club and the wider Hockey SA community over many years.

The Kuhl family warmly invite members of the Hockey SA fraternity to join them in celebrating Jan’s life on Sunday, 20 September.

It will be an opportunity to come together, remember Jan, share stories and celebrate the wonderful contribution she made to our hockey community.

Our thoughts are with the Kuhl family at this very sad time.

🏆 OVER 75 WORLD CHAMPION 🇦🇺

Apparently nobody told Michael Langan that you’re supposed to slow down as you get older 💚💛

Michael has just represented Australia at the Over 75 Hockey World Cup — and came home a WORLD CHAMPION! 🥇🌏

An outstanding achievement and a pretty good reminder to the rest of us that there's no need to retire.

From everyone at Woodville Hockey Club, congratulations Michael. Playing for Australia is special. Winning a World Cup is something else entirely.

Michael was part of a strong South Australian contingent in the Australian team alongside Rodney Dyson, Winton Inkster, Kevin Keep, Colin Ball and Robert McNeil, with fellow South Australian Jeff Waite coaching the side. A fantastic result for Hockey SA.

Metro 1 Men and Metro 5 Women are through to the finals!

Metro 5 Women's goal scorers, Vicki and Rachel sent the team into the semi final with a heart stopping 2-1 win over North East. Rachel scoring the equaliser with Vicki finishing off the game winning clutch pass from Navsimer Basra with less than 2 minutes on the clock.

The Metro 1 Men's team are through to the quarter final after taking out their 2nd round of minor finals against Forestville.

Finals match time will be out shortly and we would love to see all the green and gold out supporting the two teams next weekend.
