ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING NOTICE

With the upcoming AGM, some of our current Executive Committee members have decided not to stand for re-election, meaning new faces and fresh ideas will be needed to help lead Barambah United Football Club into the future. This is a great opportunity for members, parents, players and supporters to get involved and have a say in the direction of our club.

Full handover and support will be provided to anyone taking on a position, and position descriptions are available for every role.

Positions include President, Secretary, Treasurer, Senior Vice President, Junior Vice President, Registrar, Canteen Coordinator, Coaching Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, Grounds and Facilities Officer and Volunteer Coordinator.
You don't need to know everything from day one — there will be people available to assist you through the transition. If you've ever thought about getting more involved, now is the perfect time to step up and be part of the future of our club.

🏏 A Reminder to all the supporters and families of Barambah United Football Club

Our children are here to play, learn, have fun and enjoy being part of their team. As parents and supporters, our behaviour on the sidelines matters. We ask everyone to encourage our players positively, show good sportsmanship and allow the coaches and officials to do their jobs.

We understand that emotions can run high, but abusive, aggressive or disrespectful behaviour towards referees, umpires, coaches, opposition players or other supporters is not acceptable. You may not always agree with a decision, but please respect the call and move on — our children don’t need to see adults arguing over the game.

Remember, the officials are human, they can make mistakes, and so can everyone on the field. What matters is how we respond. Let’s be the supporters our kids are proud to have — cheer loudly, encourage positively, respect the opposition and officials, and show our children what true sportsmanship looks like. ❤️⚽️

Let the kids play. Let them have fun. Let’s set the example.

📣 When is the best time to secure your new Play On! Sports Voucher?

Applications for Play On! Sports Vouchers will open on 27 July, with up to $200 available to help Queensland kids aged from 5-17 participate in sport.

There will be two opportunities to apply this financial year.

If you’re planning ahead for summer sport, it’s best to apply this round. If your focus is on winter sports like netball or football, you may prefer to wait for the round later this financial year.

The Barambah United Ladies have started the 2026 season in style, remaining undefeated through the opening two rounds playing with determination, teamwork and grit.

Now comes their biggest challenge yet as they take on the defending 2025 Grand Final champions, Wests. Expect a fierce battle as our ladies look to continue their unbeaten run and make a statement against the reigning champions.
