The Butchers big man produced an incredible chase to reel in one of the competition’s fastest players and save an almost certain runaway try in the Harrigan Motor Group Cup major semi-final last Saturday.
Outstanding effort. 💪
Footnote: It was all in vain, as the Cougars scored on the next play, but you can't fault the big man's commitment.

Thirroul Butchers and Collegians Senior Football League play the Harrigan Cup Preliminary Final this Sunday afternoon from 2pm at Collegians Sporting Complex.
The winner goes into the Grand Final to play minor premiers Corrimal Cougars RLFC.
In lower grade action on Saturday, Thirroul Butchers face Wests Devils Football Club in the Harrigan Plate and Northern Suburbs Illawarra Bulldogs RLFC meet Berkeley Sports RLFC in the Harrigan Shield for a place in the decider.
Full-time on the field. Game on at Steelers.

Corrimal Cougars RLFC's remarkable 2026 season will extend all the way to Grand Final day after the minor premiers defeated Thirroul Butchers 28-20 in a hard-fought Harrigan Motor Group Cup Major Semi-Final at Ziems Park.
The victory sends the Cougars into their first top-grade decider since 1989, while Thirroul will get another opportunity next weekend against Collegians Senior Football League, who kept their premiership hopes alive with a dramatic 31-30 win over Dapto Canaries at Collegians Sporting Complex.

The Cougars will make their first grand final appearance since 1989 with a hard fought 28-20 victory over Thirroul after leading 22-8 at halftime.
Minor Semi Final
Collegians Senior Football League 31 defeated Dapto Canaries 30
A Blair Grant field goal in the 72nd minute proving the difference as the Collie Dogs advance to next week’s Prelim Final against Thirroul.
