No - it's not a boat Mitch. - it's supposed to be a tent.
Now that's a real "leak test". Stayed bone dry until the water got 7cm deep.
I bet he won't pitch on a "nice flat smooth spot" (dry water pool) again.

As a requested variation to the "Immortal 1170" we've gone Double skin roof and camo colours @ 1272 gram. (448 gram for the Fly and 824 gram for the tent).
Same Huge 2x person size as the "Immortal 1170", but with a breathable roof inner skin to avoid condensation problems and lighter "porch fly" front & rear eaves.
The fly can be separated from the tent so it can be shared between 2x persons for lightweight camping. (830 g tent / 595 g fly and pegs.)
Reflective material is still used for the ridgeline, re-enforcing and door corners, but olive/grey silnylon is used for the tent instead of the hi-vis orange of the original "Immortal 1170".
This single prototype is for sale at material cost price = $185.00.
The production tent will be branded the "Immortal 1280" and retail for $295.00

So close ! - would you believe 1,000 and ONE grams for the "Immortal" after trimming some weight - mainly the heavy reflective ripstop trim.
It can loose another 20 grams by making the tie tabs a little shorter, which brings it UNDER the mythical kilo.
I feel like I'm about to break the 4 minute mile !
That's what Elven design is all about - incredible performance, durability and simplicity - while being feather light.
