QOW Event 4 of 7: Indigenous Weaving 🌺🌿🖤

Where: Woolyungah Indigenous Centre

Join Yuin-Walbunja weaver Maiquilla Brown from to learn traditional Aboriginal weaving techniques from the South Coast of NSW.

Sit, yarn and create bracelets, baskets or necklaces in this inclusive, all-abilities workshop that celebrates culture, creativity and connection. Make something special to take home with you ❤️

Choo Choo! All aboard for our board game night where we’ll be playing Ticket to Ride (and other games too!)

Tomorrow we have our NAIDOC week event at 2pm in the q***r space, and we really hope to see you there!

NAIDOC Week is more than just a celebration — it’s a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This week is about truth-telling, respect, and justice. It’s a time to learn, listen, honour Elders past and present, and celebrate the oldest continuing culture in the world 🌏🔥

Whether it’s through art, language, music, protest or storytelling — NAIDOC Week calls on all of us to walk together towards a more just and inclusive future.

Hey everyone just announcing our Spooky Costume Party happening tomorrow at 3PM to 6PM at the UOW Sports Lounge!

This is a BYO alcohol event - and thus we ask everyone attending to drink safe (please don't get too sloshed) and to remember our safe space rules!

I (Yelena) will be remaining sober and checking I.D.s - we do not accept under-age drinking at our events (or in general, really)

We would love to see everyone dress up Spooky!

This party will act as pre-drinks, and people are welcome to join us for clubbing in Wollongong after us!

We're keen to get Spooky and listen to some tunes with you all!
