SKY MIND YOGA RETREAT ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
join me in April 2027 for 2 weeks exploring Bhutan - practicing asana, mantra & meditation & learning about the deities, Buddhas & beliefs of Vajrayana - The Diamond Vehicle
Bhutan is a stunning Kingdom nestled in the Himalayan mountains - rich in traditions and Tibetan Buddhism. Bhutan has never been attacked by another territory, never endured the destruction of war or occupation so its splendid architecture - monasteries, palaces & forts remain intact- abundant & tranquil with spiritual energy
Bhutanโs enigmatic landscape is bliss for the soul. lush green valleys, winding rivers, rolling hills, dense vibrant forests and sweeping majestic mountain ranges, act like nourishing potions to busy minds
On retreat we trek up to spectacular Tigers Nest Monastery and receive blessings, visit a Buddhist nunnery, stay overnight in a monastery guesthouse, visit a wild life park to see Bhutanโs national animal the Takin (found nowhere else in the world), visit the fertility village & temple, explore local culture in villages & cities, stop in at the Nakula dog rescue and meet the dogs (Bhutan rescues all its homeless dogs), listen to the monks chanting at the spectacular Buddha statue and escape into nature on a 5 day mountain trek over passes, past lakes & through yak herding pasture
please note our trek takes us to 4520m altitude with an option to slowly climb up to 5050 if you choose - the energy and the views on this immersive 5 day trek are amazing ๐
we begin & end our retreat in one of my favourite places in the world Kathmandu - where we are blessed with a local Hindu puja and visit Sadhguruโs tranquil Linga Bhairavi Devi temple
spots are filling for this remarkable spiritual adventure - to secure yours only a $1000 deposit is required & you have until Feb 2027 to pay the balance

today is the most auspicious day in the Tibetan Buddhist year - Saga Dawa
This year Saga Dawa falls on May 31st - the full moon of the 4th month in the Tibetan calendar
Saga Dawa (or Vesak for Theravada Buddhists) is a sacred month for Buddhists as they celebrate the birth, enlightenment & passing of our Buddha - Shakyamuni
Saga Dawa is a time for acts of compassion and kindness as merit is accumulated 100,000 times that of any other time. Buddhists also believe the opposite is true, so any act of cruelty or bad intent will impact your karma negatively to the same amount!
Buddhists take time over this period to offer Buddha their gratitude and reverence and in return receive Buddhas blessings that are offered as merit out toward all sentient beings
Puja, fasting, temple and monastery visits, meditation, prayer, chanting, time with family & friends & spiritual contemplation fill this sacred time
This year I feel very blessed to be in Mongolia for this auspicious time. Mongolian people follow Tibetan Buddhist and Shamanic beliefs & practices
Today I choose to fast and visit a much revered 17th C monastery (home to thousands of monks over the years) to make offerings to Buddha, to meditate, and deepen my understanding of Tibetan Buddhist wisdom
I invite you on this day to slow down & gift yourself some time in stillness and silence. offer a smile to a stranger, give an extra hug to a love one, act with kindness toward animals - choose to be vegan for the day (or 4eva!), call a friend to check in, give to your favourite charity, forgive someone from your past & say kind & inspiring words to yourself
OM GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI CHITTA SOHA - OM gone gone, gone to the other side, gone to the other side to join with compassion & kindness - the awakened, enlightened heartmind ๐ฉท๐๐ผ

Faces of Northern Mongolia
we have spent the last week travelling into the Northern most region of Mongolia up near the Russian border
weโve met so many friendly people along the way. Nomadic horse herders, nomadic reindeer herders, a village shaman, farmers, & local families
we have been invited into their homes, fed until we are too full to move, laughed, and shared stories
these people are people of the land and sky. their spiritual beliefs and practices are a mix between local shamanic and Tibetan Buddhist traditions
they are tough, life is short, they worship their land and animals, they live in strong family groups, and have powerful community connections. they are open, friendly, funny, and content with the very little they have
because educating girls is considered more important than educating boys (boys can do manual work), girls head to the cities and dont want to return to the country - so many young men remain single unable to meet the education or financial needs of the citified girls
but these guys gallop through rivers and over mountains on wild horses, they build houses from the trees around them, they round herds of reindeer & yak on motorbikes, they can read the land and sky blind folded yet they are sensitive, gentle & caring
the women who choose nomadic life, choose a life of harsh conditions, constant movement, very few possessions. there is no running water or electricity. they have a courageous and determined spirit
the children growing up in nomadic families may not attend school, they sleep and live in the one room with the rest of their family, they have one or two toys and a change of clothes, yet they laugh, play, enjoy the gifts of the natural world, and have spirits that run wild and free
join me on a yoga adventure to Mongolia this August. head to the NAMASTAYZ website (my yoga travel company) link in bio for more details or DM me anytime
ps Im vegan and Iโve def put on a few kilos!!!
practice yoga and meditation daily, travel to sacred places, be inspired by amazing landscapes, meet the wildlife

MONGOLIA ๐ฉท๐ฉท๐ฉท๐
what a soul filling experience Mongolia is. never in your wildest dreams can you imagine how beautiful and powerfully energetic this land is
after days of driving north and half a day on horseback we reached a nomadic reindeer family in the deep mountains of Mongolia near the border to Russia
we had snow falling, drove over mountainous fields with no roads, camped by frozen lakes and stopped to pray at shamanic kairns
the nomadic reindeer herders move camp season to season so after riding through snow fields, across rivers, up streams, and through pine nut forests we eventually COOโD to find the reindeer family
these nomadic people are shamanic. they live a totally natural life in harmony with nature. they believe in spirits and the energies of the sun, moon, earth, waters, mountains, animals & nature
life is harsh for nomads. my bed is cut from fallen trees, water is sourced from the local stream,, and there no electricity bar a small portable solar panel
yet life is profoundly beautiful and peaceful
i experienced the most impactful practice of my life, by the stream, on the snow soggy grassland, between the mountains- reindeer and horses nearbyโฆthe spring sun so warm on my face, the ground undulating and wet, sounds of nature all around. i have never been so far into the wilderness in my life, yet never felt so connected with life
Mongolia is a spectacular adventureโฆ not to be missed in a lifetime. there is still a few weeks left to book NAMASTAYZ yoga adventure to Mongolia via Beijing in August this year. head to the NAMASTAYZ website - link in bio www.namastayz.com.au or DM me for details
practice yoga daily, meditate in sacred places, visit Tibetan Buddhist temples, travel the wide open countryside, see the mini gobi, yaks, wild horses, vultures, eagles and so so much more. and yes VEGANS please join me - there is waaaay too much food
Mongolia is magic ๐๐๐๐
