Wollongong's largest running event held on the first Sunday of June. Next event - 1 June, 2025. Family friendly, but also accurately measured & timed.
Runners can choose from a half marathon, a 10km or 5km, or a 2km kids fun run. The Wollongong Running Festival’s inaugural event will be held on the south coast of NSW starting and finishing in Stuart Park North Wollongong. The Wollongong Running Festival has been organised by Wollongong's leading Outdoor Fitness Company, Savvy Fitness, and will become an annual event including a kids 2km event a

From ocean views and Wollongong landmarks to the spectators and volunteers bringing the energy all along the course, it’s the kind of race that reminds you exactly why you signed up in the first place.

One of our favourite things about WRF? Seeing runners stay long after they've crossed the finish line.
Whether it was cheering on mates, grabbing a coffee, hanging around the event precinct or celebrating PBs, this is a big part of what makes the Run Havoc Wollongong Running Festival more than just a race.

This year marked an exciting new chapter for the Wollongong Running Festival 🌊🏃♂️
For the first time, WRF joined the Race Hub Australia family, bringing together one of Australia's most iconic coastal running events with a community that believes everyone belongs on the start line.
From first-timers and families through to seasoned runners chasing PBs and Deca Medals, it was incredible to see so many people come together in Wollongong.
A huge thank you to the WRF community for embracing us and to Run Havoc for partnering with us to help deliver such an unforgettable event.
We couldn't have asked for a better first year together!
