It was really special to toe the line for the first time at this iconic race. It felt even more special to find myself racing at the front of the field. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish it off with a strong run.

Perhaps the study stress from the last couple of weeks caught up with me🥵 Nevertheless, I defended my master’s thesis on Wednesday, which I’m really proud of!🤓

Luck wasn’t really on my side this weekend. On Saturday, my seatpost dropped as soon as I jumped onto my bike, turning the race into more of a survival mission than a fight for positions. Still, I surprised myself with one of my best 5km runs and managed to finish 23rd.

I was hungry for revenge on Sunday during the Mixed Team Relay. As the anchor leg for the team, I had some bridging to do, but unfortunately I just didn’t have that extra spark to bring us back into the race.

Now it’s time for some training, and then we go again in Hamburg 🔥

Looking back on an incredible Sierra camp ⛰️

Without a doubt the best camp I’ve had so far. Good training and amazing people, what more can you ask for? Feeling fit, healthy, happy and more motivated than ever heading into this next block of racing😁

Now on my way to Alghero as the Olympic qualification period officially begins 🇮🇹🔥

Halfway through altitude camp. Grateful to do the work in such a beautiful place and with amazing company! Pretty special to celebrate my birthday here, definitely never been at such a high🙃
