TOMORROW, Sunday 13 September 2026, is the final day of the Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling, and everyone’s invited.

Start the morning with the Ride4Rotary Loop the Lighthouse, a free community ride along Flagstaff Hill and Endeavour Drive, followed from 11am by the Kids & All Abilities Loop the Lighthouse.

Then head to Lang Park for the Festival of Cycling Family Fun Day, with food, drinks, entertainment, cycling activities and plenty happening for the whole family.

Haven’t registered yet? Don’t worry. You can register on the day and still join the ride!

Come along, get involved and help support local youth through Ride4Rotary and Southern Youth and Family Services.

One last Sunday. Four ways to ride 🚲

The final day of Ride Wollongong is bringing plenty of opportunities to get on your bike, with four Illawarra Bicycle Users Group -supported rides heading into Lang Park on Sunday 13 September.

Go the distance on the 61km North Wollongong to Shellharbour return, cruise the coast from Thirroul to Lang Park, join the Coffee to Coast Ride for women and non-binary riders, or build your confidence on the Corrimal to Lang Park Northern Suburbs Connector.

There’s a ride for different experience levels, distances and riding styles - and several rides finish at Lang Park, right in the middle of the festival action.

Pick your ride, get your bike ready and finish the festival on two wheels!

Cycling people, stories and ideas - all in one 🚲

The IBUG Conference & Film Night is happening TOMORROW, Friday 11 September 2026, at the BlueScope Visitor Centre as part of the Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling.

Come along to connect with the cycling community, hear from others working and riding in the space, and settle in for an evening of cycling films.

Cycling is for everyone 💙🚲

Tomorrow, The Disability Trust's All Abilities Day is inviting people of all ages and abilities to come along, try riding and discover the different ways cycling can be enjoyed.

Held at the Illawarra Criterium Track in Unanderra from 9am–12pm, the event provides a safe, supportive and accessible environment to explore inclusive cycling opportunities.

Whether you're completely new to cycling or looking to build confidence, it’s a chance to get involved, have a go and discover what’s possible on two wheels.

This Sunday, ride for a cause! 🚲

Wrap up the Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling with Ride4Rotary: a free, family-friendly community celebration bringing together cycling, entertainment and a great cause along the Wollongong Foreshore.

The main Ride4Rotary Loop the Lighthouse rolls out from 10–11am, taking riders around Flagstaff Hill and Endeavour Drive. From 11am, the Kids & All Abilities Loop the Lighthouse makes it easy for little riders and those looking for a more relaxed, inclusive ride to join in too.

Want to ride into the festival? The Illawarra Bicycle Users Group is also hosting a series of guided community rides from locations across Wollongong, with options for different abilities and interests - all finishing at Lang Park in time for the Family Fun Day.

Then stick around at Lang Park for the Family Fun Day, with food, drinks, entertainment, cycling activities and plenty happening for all ages.

And there's a bigger reason to ride: funds raised through donations and rider sponsorship support Southern Youth & Family Services and their employment, education and training programs for local youth at risk.

Ready to find your rhythm? 🚴

Take on 39km of Wollongong’s scenic coastline with Illawarra Bicycle Users Group's Find Your Rhythm social ride — designed for riders with moderate cycling experience who are comfortable riding longer distances on the road and in a group.

This ride is all about building endurance, confidence and smooth group-riding skills, with a moderate pace of around 22km/h and scheduled regroup points along the way.

📏 Approx. 39km return

Please note: you must have attended the IBUG ride on 5 September to participate.

What could cycling look like in a more affordable, connected and sustainable future? 🚲

Join the Illawarra Bicycle Users Group (IBUG) for a day of ideas, discussion and inspiration at the IBUG Cycling Conference & Film Night.

Bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners and community leaders from around the world, the conference will explore how cycling can help reduce household transport costs while creating healthier, more connected communities.

Expect conversations around safer cycling infrastructure, access and equity, policy, affordability and reducing transport emissions — followed by a night celebrating cycling on screen.
