Today a few of our Hortons members gathered together to participate in Uniclubs Cup. While we gave it our all for table tennis 🏓 soccer ⚽️ Mario kart 🏎️ and an inflatable obstacle course 🏃‍♀️ we didn’t make the cut into the semis! Congratulations to for taking out the ultimate win! We’re so stoked to be able to cross off our first clubs cup as a uni club and are keen for many more future opportunities 💪🏽

As a part of getting to know who’s behind the blue and yellow bucket hats, we’ve decided to introduce a Hortons member every week and have asked them to share a little bit about what being a Horton means to them. This week you’ll be hearing from our very own Ethan Lee. Be sure to say hello if you see him floating around the campus!

“Hey I’m Ethan, and I’m the Horton of the week!! I am in my final year of my Medical and Health Science degree here at UOW. I have been part of Horton’s since the introduction of our very first Summer Soccer team, Horton’s Heroes, in 2021, and since have also joined the Horton’s netball and run club families. Being apart of Horton’s Sport and Social club has allowed me to create meaningful and lasting friendships and I can’t wait to continue to be part of this amazing club.”

A few of our hortons headed up to Newcastle this weekend to play in country clubs. The women’s division b team took home silver in the grand final after going head to head with Gosford in a penalty shootout. Also an honourable mention to for being the top goal scorer in the whole competition after 19 incredible goals. Congratulations girls! 🔥
