Congratulations to our students who went to Las Vegas to compete at the Jiu-Jitsu Con and World Masters.

We couldn't be prouder.

It takes courage, commitment, and months of showing up when nobody's watching. You put everything out there on the international stage, something that few will ever do.

A special shout out to Lisa, who won her division at World Masters. We can officially call you a world champ!

Every parent has had that moment. Your kid doesn't want to go.

They're tired, they're not feeling it, they'd rather stay home.

You go anyway.

And they walk out of that class a completely different kid.

That's not jiu-jitsu. That's what showing up when you don't feel like it actually teaches them.

Skip the socks and un**es this Father's Day and gift dad a 3-class pass for $50.

Give dad somewhere to go that's just for him. Somewhere he can disconnect from work, from the mental load, from being everything to everyone.

Somewhere he'll learn a new skill, feel challenged again, and be surrounded by good people who will push him.

🥋 3 classes
📅 Valid for 10 days
✅ No lock-in contracts or obligations
👕 Trial uniform included, nothing else needed

DM us the word DAD and we'll be in touch with everything you need.

Every parent I speak to thinks their kid is the exception.

Too shy. Too aggressive. Too high energy. Too emotional. Won't focus, won't listen, won't try.

I've coached every single one of those kids. And I've watched jiu-jitsu change every single one of them.

Your kid isn't the exception. They just haven't been put in the right environment yet.

Comment 'START' for our 3-Class Pass.

The beauty of adversity is that it makes you grow. The beast is that you have to face it again.

Congratulations to all of our athletes who competed at the Australian Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Melbourne last week.

We walked away with 7 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.

Women who have their s**t together. That's what most teenage girls in sport don't get.

Coaching is dominated by men, especially through puberty, when girls' bodies are changing and that's exactly when we lose them from sport.

I've watched what changes when a girl trains under a woman who's actually been through it. Not just skilled. Been through the trenches and come out stronger on the other side.

A lot of coaches see a girl struggling and don't know why. A woman who's lived it does.

That's the part nobody's talking about.

Every week we watch a kid lose, get frustrated, and look straight over at their parent for a way out.

Hundreds of kids through our academy and it's the same moment every time. What happens next is what matters.

You know that look even if your kid's never done jiu-jitsu. It's the homework they push away. The game they didn't get picked for. The party they don't want to walk into.

Everything in you says step in. Make it easier, take the pressure off, tell them that's enough for today. Most parents do. And the kid learns that the way out of something hard is you.

That's why most sports don't change anything. There's a bench, a team, a ref to blame, ten other kids to stand behind. A kid can have a bad day and nobody has to look at it, including them.

Jiu-jitsu doesn't give them that. One kid against one kid, a few metres from where the parents are sitting, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. They sort themselves out, in front of a coach who knows them and a room of kids who've all been in the same spot.

The first few months are harder on the parent than the kid. That's the part nobody warns you about.

The change parents tell us about happens at home. Homework they stay with past the first frustration. Losing without the meltdown. Turning up on the night they don't feel like it. Hand up at school.

You won't see it while it's happening. Twelve months later you're looking at a different kid.

Plenty of parents hold off because they think their kid's not ready. Not sporty enough, not fit enough, not confident enough.

You don't need any of that to start. Starting is how they get it.

Comment START and we'll send you the three-class pass. Three classes, $50, valid for 10 days. Trial uniform provided.

If you coach 4 year olds, you know the stories. Today's was about a little dog who broke his eye at the gym. Then his head. Before you ask, he's fine. He put goggles on it.

It looks like a silly chat about a dog but this is where a kid learns to hold a conversation, express themselves and trust the adults in the room.

Every day before our 4 year olds get on the mat, we sit with them for a couple of minutes and ask about their day. Everyone gets a turn. We ask questions. We get down to their level.

We listen because these are skills, and at 4 you build them by engaging with kids on their level.
