If anyone is wanting to purchase uniforms before Sunday the club will be open on Saturday between 10am and 2pm we are also taking registrations and helping with registrations for existing members - if you know of anyone wanting to join they will need to bring either a birth certificate or passport for the child and ID for registering parents. (at least one parent needs to be an associate member)
We are waiting on a shipment of the pink hi vis rash vests so we ask that the U6 & U7 hold of buying them as they are only mandatory for U8 to u14 to participate in nippers due to water activities. sorry for any inconvenience we hope they arrive in the next few weeks.

If you are unable to make swim proficiency we will at this stage complete them in the continental pool when nippers starts.

Registration and Proficiency this Saturday 3rd of September. Due to the club house being under construction we will be doing both at EC Sports Swim and Surf School in Phillips Ave Wollongong.
I have also attached an age guide for new registrations to help with the placing of nippers in age groups and the swim proficiency expectations for each age group. Please note that children wishing to compete in carnivals will complete an ocean swim at a later date.
At this stage we are not selling uniforms or caps at the registration day but there will be plenty of opportunity to do so before the start of the season when our new club administrator starts in the office (details soon) No need to book just turn up.

For our U6s and U7s that are eligible. Swimming lessons goes hand in hand with Nippers.

A $100 ‘First Lap’ voucher 🎟️ is now available to parents, guardians and carers of children either aged 3-6 years 👨‍👩‍👧 who have not started school OR who are in kindergarten in 2021 or 2022, to use towards the cost of swimming lessons 🏊.

The voucher is valid until 30 June 2022 and a new voucher will be available from 1 July 2022.

Once in a lifetime opportunity to run a commercial restaurant located directly on the beach in the heart of Wollongongs main tourist area. The 2021/22 Nipper Season is planned to start on the following dates for the age groups to return:
24th October - u13s/u14s
31st October - u11s/u12s
7th November - u8s/u9s/u10s
14th November - u6s/u7s
Nippers attending on these dates need to attend with a fully vaccinated member of their household and will need to check in via the NSW covid safety app. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
We are looking forward to the 1st of December when all members can return regardless of vaccination status.

🔴⚪️🔵 EXCITING NEWS FOR OCTOBER 🔴⚪️🔵
North Wollongong SLSC are excited to announce that as of Sunday 24th of October Nippers will return in a phased approach (similar to school return). The Season will commence with our oldest nippers in the U13s/U14s allowing them to start their Surf Rescue Certificate training. The following week will see our U11s/12s join then our U8s/U9s/U10s and finally the return of our U7s along with welcoming our newest members U6s!
As we will be retuning once NSW reaches 80% vaccination rate North Wollongong SLSC will be guided by NSW Health guidelines. This means that anyone 16 and over must be double vaccinated to attend a public gathering. We understand there are mixed feeling in the community in regards to vaccination, however we ask you to follow the public health order.
We are looking forward to the 1st of December when public health orders allow all to attend regardless of vaccination status.
As well as NSW Health was also required to take additional precautions inline with Surf Life Saving NSW. This will see the club set up an activities area with a maximum of 200 people. This includes Nippers, Age managers, Water safety and Covid marshals. We ask parents who are not directly helping to remain outside the activities area and watch. Again we look forward to the 1st of December when we welcome all members of the club back and have no limits within the activity area.
