Rarely is there an opportunity to train with and learn from one of the pioneers of BJJ. Carlos taught techniques that suited white belts and provided black belts with intricate details. A real gift of his experience over his decades of teaching.

It was a pleasure to present our kids assistant coach Astrid with her Yellow Black belt. Astrid has been an integral part of our kids program over several years and her contribution to our gym both on and off the mat is admired by us at Lake Macquarie Jiujitsu. Her dedication is unrivalled. Congratulations Astrid!!

A couple of weeks ago we hosted Team Perosh Head coach Anthony Perosh for a small yet detailed NoGi half guard passing seminar.

I also had the pleasure to present our student Andrew Profili with his purple belt. A blue belt since 2009 and now after returning to training has been an incredible help with our kids classes.

We're looking to have Anthony come back in December for our end of year graduation and Gi seminar..

It's finally here!!
Our second grading of the year.

Don't forget we also have Anthony Perosh attending our academy this Saturday from 10:30am for a NoGi Seminar.

The seminar will be from ages 12+.

On the 28th of June (Coach Todd's birthday) we will be hosting one of the pioneers of Australia's Brazilian jiu-jitsu scene, Anthony Perosh
5th Degree Black belt under Carlos Machado.

Accolades include:
12x Time Australian National Champion
2018 Black Belt Open M4 Gold medalist
2019 Black Belt Ultra Heavy & Open Silver Medalist
2009 ADCC South Pacific Gold medalist

The seminar will be No-Gi for ages 12yrs and up.
