🏁 Weekend off before the non-stop racing begins 🏁

Karl and the team have had the weekend off to get some rest in before a big stretch of racing. It all starts this weekend - Back in the NT for the Defend The Top End & NT Title followed by the Chariots Of Thunder the following weekend.

After our stint up North, the team will head straight home for 2 back to back weekends at Toowoomba speedway for Thunder on the downs.

Following this, we start the 15 round Aussie Turf 360/LS Sprintcar Country Series in Gladstone.

Plenty of hard work is about to be done, with late nights putting cars on the track and racing the best drivers around the country.

🏁7th overall, 3rd for 410🏁

Karl’s first night in the 410 for the season was a wild one! Karl missed it in time trials and went 7th overall.
Heat 1 Karl started in 1st and finished 3rd.
Dash B Karl started in 1st and finished 1st.

Karl started the A-main out of 7th, and after 2 laps the electronic bleeder broke off in the rim leaving him have a flat right rear. With a work area at the track, Karls team and a few other teams kindly helped to change the tyre swiftly. Karl raced the 24 laps with no bleeder, and was just hanging on to get it home. Unfortunately with a couple of other 410 having issues, Karl was able to secure 3rd in the 410. This would mean it was Karl’s first podium for the 410, and 7th overall with a mix of LS cars also.

Karl can’t thank the teams that helped out with changing the tyre in the work area - Also thank you to Northline Speedway for their hospitality! The team will now wash the car and get it ready for the next race in 2 weeks time.

🏁 Up and Down Night 🏁

Karl took on his first night at Northline Speedway last night in the LS. Karl went out 3rd in time trials and ended up 7th out of the 11 cars, with the motor not running 100%.

Heat 1: Started 1st — Finished 1st
Dash A: Started 4th — Finished 6th

Karl had some trouble in the A Dash, but after taking it back to the trailer, we found that somehow he had accidentally hit the fuel tap, shutting off the engine. After a quick engine start, we were back!

But with time not really on our side and not getting all the changes to the car that we wanted, we missed it a little. Karl fell backwards but still managed to come home with a Top 10 finish.

Tonight, the team are putting in the fresh 410 and hoping for a better night behind the wheel! 🏁

🏁Bit of LS And 410🏁

After arriving at Northline Speedway last Thursday, The team did some maintenance on the truck and trailer before preparing the car for the weekend ahead.

The team have decided to run the LS motor on Friday night to make sure the issues have been fully resolved before heading home. On Saturday, they’ll swap motors and run the 410.

Both nights will be available to stream on clay per view.

The team are looking forward to the Chariots Of Thunder in a few weeks time (September 10-12), for the biggest 3 nights of racing in Darwin.

🏁 We Made It To The NT! 🏁

After four days on the road, Karl and the team have officially made it to Northline Speedway!

With a weekend off to regroup and get everything ready, we’re still deciding on the plan for next weekend - Whether to run the LS on Friday night and the 410 on Saturday, or run the 410 both nights to get some valuable laps in before the two big weekends that follow.

The team took their time on the journey across, making the most of the trip and stopping at some great spots along the way. With a tight schedule ahead, there definitely won’t be much time for sightseeing on the way home!

Now it’s time to settle in and get ready for some racing in the NT!

🏁We found something 🏁

Karl and the team had the car down and up, Karl went out 3rd again but was able to end up in 10th overall.

Heat 1 started 4th finished 6th.
Heat 2 started 3rd finished 3rd.

After all that, Karl was able to lock in the top 8 shootout. While still working on the car to get it to 100%, the team took a swing at it and it worked. Karl started 8th in the A-main, quickly moving up to the 5th spot and knocking on the door for 4th until a yellow come out. After stoping and starting a couple of times, Karl misjudged the last restart and lost 2 spots which ended his night in 7th. Karl was so happy with his result after the couple of weeks he has had.

Karl can’t thank everyone enough from Cairns speedway and Mareeba speedway, and to the boys for working their asses off, finding issues the last 2 weeks.

We want to wish all the teams a safe travel home. We will be making a right at Townsville, and start heading to Darwin for the NT stint of our calendar.

🏁We Dug Out Of A Hole🏁

Karl’s night didn’t go how he wanted it to - After going out 3rd out of 24 cars, Karl timed in 19th out of 24 cars.

Heat 1 Karl went from 10th to finish 7th.
Heat 2 Karl went from 9th to finish 8th.

Those results placed Karl 17th overall in points which had placed him 1st in the B-main. Unfortunately after the 6 laps and the leader blowing a tyre, Karl finished the race in first.

Karl then went out starting in 17th for the A-main. Karl was slowly progressing forward, with a couple people crashing out or pulling in. Karl was able to finish in 9th after the 30 lap A-main.

Karl is still looking for some more confidence in the car, today will be a look over and a wash before the last night in Cairns tonight.

🏁Can Karl Keep The Form Going🏁

Karl and the team have recovered and are ready to go for the last 2 night in Cairns, Karl is keen to keep the form going that he had in Mareeba.

Karl is happy to say that shirts have arrived in Cairns and will be for sale at his trailer and possibly on the hill.

🏁We found speed🏁

Karl and the team had a fantastic night after a rocky start, Karl qualified 10th out of the 17 cars.

Heat 1 started 2nd and finished 1st.
Heat 2 started 2nd and finished 1st.

With that effort Karl was 6th in points which placed him in the silver shootout, however he did not advance.

Karl started 6th in the A-main and after some good battles and a couple of yellows Karl was able to finish the 25 lap A-main with a 5th place.

Karl can’t thank everyone enough for the effort that has been put into the car over the last week to get it running right.

Now the team will get the car washed for the parade in Cairns and display at the casino tomorrow before the final 2 nights in Cairns on Friday and Saturday night.

🏁 Biggest Track in QLD 🏁

Karl and the team have ventured an hour and a half from Cairns to Mareeba Speedway, home to what would be close to one of the biggest tracks in Queensland.

The last time Karl raced on a track of this size was over in America, so it’s exciting to be back taking on a track like this again. Karl can’t thank everyone enough for their support, hard work, and the effort that’s gone into making this trip possible.
