Chargers Sunday B turned up for a cricket match…
Shravan turned up with a personal vendetta.

At this point, the batters probably started celebrating singles like boundaries.
27 all out in 13.3 overs and Edgar chased it without losing a wicket — basically a Sunday stroll with cricket whites on.

Special mention to Shravan for collecting wickets faster than people collect Woolies points.
Opposition top order still checking if they actually brought bats or just signed attendance sheets.

Silverware season clearly didn’t end with Finals for Edgar CC.
The boys turned up at the WSCCC Association Awards Night and decided to bring home some more hardware. 🏆🏆🏆

A massive congratulations to:

Claiming the Bowling Aggregate award with wickets falling so regularly that opposition batters probably started checking the fixture for annual leave options.

🥇 Muhammad Khalid Bin Waleed – Division 10
Another season of consistency, control and making life miserable for batting line-ups across the competition.

🥇 .kavukoti Vikram Kavukoti – Division 12
Walking away with the Bowling Average award after producing numbers that look more like a video game setting than real cricket.

From Div 4 to Div 12, Edgar CC continues proving that talent runs deep across every grade.
Not bad for a club that was apparently “just building.” 👀

187 on the board. Not massive. Just enough to create doubt.

Sudharsan Roy anchored the innings with a composed 80 off 71 balls — timing, temperament, and total control. When wickets threatened to stall momentum, he shifted gears and kept the scoreboard moving. That knock made the difference.

Defending 187, the 3rd XI turned it into a pressure cooker. Tight overs. Sharp fielding. No freebies. The Warriors finished 9 runs short.

Small margin. Big statement.

Truganina CC Yellow 4th XI: 37 all out.
Edgar Cricket Club 3rd XI: 2/38.
Result: Edgar 3rd XI win by 8 wickets.

This wasn’t a chase. It was a formality.

The damage? Done by one man.

Gopi – 6 overs, 0 maidens, 8 runs, 4 wickets.

Six overs of control. Eight runs conceded. Four batters sent back. No drama, just ruthless accuracy and relentless pressure. When your strike bowler goes at just over a run an over, the rest of the innings collapses around him.

Clinical with the ball. Calm with the chase. Points secured.

Top of the table Edgar 3rd XI flexed again — chased down 140 and strolled home 4-143 with 6 wickets in hand. 🏏

Clinical with the ball, calm with the bat — just another day at the office in Division 12.

81 points, 13 wins… ladder leaders doing ladder leader things.

Another win 😊

The best thing about this game was that we were always in control and maintained the upper hand throughout. This is exactly how we need to approach and continue playing in the remaining games this season.

We won the toss and chose to field — and we continue our strong record of not losing a game while bowling first this season. Our bowlers have proved this again and again. Honestly, I’m finding it hard to rotate the bowlers because whoever I hand the ball to is delivering exceptional performances.

Vikram, who picked up a five-wicket haul last week and is in great form, grabbed another 3 wickets in this game. But he has strong competition! Srikanth matched him with 3 wickets as well, and with a better economy. In fact, Srikanth had the best bowling figures of the match: 6-0-13-3.
Gopi, Mani, and Ranjith chipped in with a wicket each, and together we restricted Werribee Centrals 3rd XI to 140 runs in 35 overs.

It looked like a comfortable chase for Edgars. Vikas and Parag provided a solid start with a 46-run opening partnership. Roy and Ramesh played sensibly in the middle order, and Karunakar finished in style with a quickfire 29* off 14 balls (5 fours and 1 six). Edgars reached 143 in just 25 overs, losing only 4 wickets.
