WHAT. A. WEEKEND! 💚🏆

And just like that, the 2026 60th Anniversary season has come to an end.

The 60th year of the club we love has been pretty bloody special, but what our players have achieved on the park this year has made it one to remember. After a weekend packed with celebration, big moments, plenty of nerves, a whole lot of green and white pride, and some very special wins, it’s hard to put into words just how proud we are of this club.

RESERVES — ASSOCIATION CUP WINNERS 🏆

First, we’ll start with our Reserves team, coached by Keegan Fay in his first season as a solo coach. It was a fantastic season for Keegan and the team, with the Reserves putting in some strong performances throughout the year.

In the Association Cup Final, Steel United 2 defeated Lions 1 in a hard fought match to take home the cup. The team showed plenty of determination and composure when it mattered most, finishing their season on a high.

The Best on Ground, as selected by the match officials, was awarded to Anthony Fay.

A GRADE — TREBLE WINNERS 🏆🏆🏆

Then came our A Grade.

Jordan Perez took the reins as solo Head Coach for the first time this season, with Anthony Fay joining him as Assistant Coach, and what a season they have delivered. From the opening game of the season right through to the final whistle, this group has continued to set the standard. Week after week, they turned up, put in the work and found a way to get the job done.

In the Bill Paterson Association Cup Final, Steel United defeated Wanderers 5–3 to claim the cup and complete an undefeated Whyalla Soccer Association 2026 TREBLE winning season!

Congratulations to Dale Robinson from Wanderers on being awarded Best on Ground!

And what better way to celebrate 60 years of Steel United than with silverware, history and a weekend that will be remembered for years to come.

This club is more than soccer. It’s 60 years of people, memories, friendships, families and moments that become part of our history.
