All prices include GST.
Happy to organise a deposit and payment plans as needed.
Credit card facility available, however additional fees apply.
Incentives available for multiple purchase or those interstate.

Hello friends,

I know there’s not a lot happening on our social media channels but there’s a great reason, well… three actually.

1. My main focus is keeping our loyal clients supported with high quality tuition.
2. I’m nearly half way through my final uni placement and having the time of my life learning from the brilliant minds and caring practitioners at The Epworth Acquired Brain Injury and stroke service. My placements truly have been life-changing and I’m so fortunate to have such great mentors developing me… and ultimately you.
3. There’s a lot of planning and mind mapping preparing for 2027…. When I’ve worked out the best way to support and service our postcodes, I’ll be reaching out, loud and proud!

Until then…. I’m at the studios most days getting my hands dirty and thinking about how to continue to show up for you with movement and exercise no matter what the universe brings your way.

Nicholas

Here’s to a sunshine memory on a rainy day!

I’ll be spending the next five weeks on my final clinical placement at The Epworth Richmond, completely out of my comfort zone and likely thriving. Following this, I have three very intense weeks working on my final assignments. Home stretch!!!

During this time I’ll have reduced availability at the studio but always available by email, please expect delayed replies.

Current clients please continue to use our MindBody portal as your companion! Prospective clients please submit a new client form and you’ll be contacted in order of submission to commence in October.

I will be working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings… a full day Tuesday and Saturday for your Pilates needs. Vanessa remains our chief on Monday evenings and Chris is available for 1:1 sessions Tuesday and Saturday mornings 9-12.

Here’s to the next step of TMR, future-proofing my career (I hope) and supporting our ageing into fruitful retirement.

A moment to reflect and consider the last five weeks of clinical placement. I’m one step closer to the end of my degree, which means 3003/3051 is one step closer to better health at The Movement Refinery.

The studio is closed tomorrow as Chris and I are attending separate professional development at separate hospitals… I’m off to to go even deeper into exercise and oncology, Chris will be back at the Epworth for a day on Blood Flow Restriction Training.

In the next couple of weeks I will work on my final case conferences, exercise as much as possible and spend time reconnecting with the clients of TMR who continue to make me smile and go deeper into movement education, together. Last night at the studio was magic.. so many dedicated clients working curiously and also having giggles, rants and jokes.

Many thanks to the amazing and caring staff at including Cindy, Ulli, Dale, Lauren, Steph, Jade and Lauren for each welcoming me and sharing their knowledge. A huge thank you to the clients who gave me more than the time of day, but generously shared their stories, and their movement so that I could be a better practitioner and enrich the lives of my current and future clients north of the river.

♥️

Come up the stairs …. As JHP wrote “Every moment of our life can be the beginning of great things”…

Thank you to our lovely and loyal clients who have patiently supported me/us while the schedule has morphed to include uni placements.

I have to be honest, I don’t know what TMR will look like in terms of service provision in 2027 in beyond. But … what I do know is that I want to continue to focus on quality care, precision-oriented exercise and sensitive programming that responds to the needs of contemporary life.

I have one week of placement at and then a couple of weeks before I start at Epworth Richmond… during this time I’ll be available to review your programmes and take on a couple of new clients even :)

I’m also starting to plan some technique workshops and opportunities for our clients wanting to recommit to the beautiful and rich world of the original Pilates method, so please bring your ideas and requirements forward.

Here’s to a wonderful day ahead in the studio ❤️

Hey !! Our next two hour workshop is coming up in a month…. Maggie Macgill.

TOPIC: Work those muscles! Engaging our muscles for optimal performance without excessive tension and stress.

In this workshop we take a closer look at muscle tissue and explore ways to contract muscles to create strength and reduce tension. Starting with the experiential anatomy of muscle tissue We will work with imagery and cues that speak specifically to the movement of the muscle cells and fibres. This process will support you to access efficient and powerful muscle contractions. We will then apply this depth of understanding to specific muscles to integrate and balance the muscular system as a whole. On completion of this workshop you will have a clear understanding of muscle contraction and new teaching skills that will enable you to work with your clients more effectively and efficiently.

📖UNIVERSITY PLACEMENT UPDATE 🔔

I have just received some exciting news, I will be spending five weeks at one of Australia’s pioneering forces in holistic oncology care with 🥁 exercise!

This is a huge opportunity and I have a lot to learn, but I am ready! My sincere goal is to be able to support our clients and neighbours through all facets of life and in addition to my Pilates toolkit, the skills gained from this brief but potent placement will deliver benefits to us all at TMR.

There will be some schedule adjustments and yes, the dark circles under my eyes will soon return… I’ll be in touch with those impacted ASAP.

Bubbling with excitement… definitely need some new highlighters!

We miss you. We love you. It’s not the same without you but our journey earthside was complete.

Two years have flown by and there’s not a day that I know a chat, stroll and cuddle wouldn’t enrich us all. I’ve learnt so much about you Dexter since you passed and I wish I was more patient in those last couple of years and really soaked it all up.

This photo of glossy and excited young Dexter was sent to me by glorious Kirsten while Maggie does her thing elsewhere… two friends both greedy for attention, on their own terms! ❤️❤️
