Wentworth Falls Tennis Club

Thanks to Craig, Natasha, Rob, BJ, Jon, Caroline, Anne, Florence and our coaches Stephen & Hadil who represented WFTC in an interclub tournament yesterday against Auburn. We were soundly defeated but had fun & learnt a lot. Thanks to Stephen for organising the contest!

Check out this beautiful sporting facility in the Far North Queensland town of Georgetown (pop 300).
The Wentworth Falls community would kill for a facility like this ...multi-purpose roofed court with full lighting for tennis, basketball & soccer, a bowling green with bowls provided, a squash court, a canteen, toilets & change rooms & a free swimming centre next door! Unfortunately no pickleball court. The only people using it on a mild, sunny afternoon were a couple of kids on bikes!

Yesterday 24 players from Katoomba & Wentworth Falls Tennis Clubs took part in a round robin competition, held at our courts. It was a beautiful day, the tennis was excellent & new friendships were forged. Congrats to the winners: Doug Pritchard (WF) & Kim Kaar (K) for their consistently fine standard of tennis. 2nd Place: Anita Swift (K) & Stephen Price (WF) & 3rd on a countback: Gabby Thornton-Dibb (WF) & Roman Balla (K). Thanks to all the people who made it such a great day!
