We run multiple Introduction to Archery courses throughout the year. Follow our social media pages for updated information and photos. 2025 Introduction to Archery course dates are available on our website. Prices:

In addition, out of 6 State Records shot at the event, Geelong Archers produced 4 of them, with Olivia and Gerard setting new distance records and Gerard and Gerardine setting new marks for their 1440 rounds. Great results all round!!

The Moorabbin Shield 2026 was held this past Sunday in warm windy conditions. Geelong Archers was again well represented with all our archers taking home trophies. Special mentions were Lilly Clark who set a new State Record for the Short Adelaide Round in U18 Female Recurve. Fantastic result for Lilly and a fitting reward for her hard work. Lilly also managed to make it to the final 2 of the traditional 1 Arrow shootoff.
Geelong Archers had a team entered called "Three of a Kind" with Lilly, Olivia and Axelle taking on the rest of the recurve field and shooting superbly to take out the Recurve Team Trophy. Second place in the Recurve Team was taken by the "Geelong Stars", Gerardine, Gerry and Fiona.
An enjoyable day with great results. Thank you to Moorabbin Archery Club and all the officials and volunteers who put on this great event.

The Geelong Archers August Monthly Handicap was won by Gerardine Middendorp. Gerardine is holding her trophy along with her Gold Medal from State Indoor with Gerry showing how proud he is! Gerardine managed the win by 6 points over Olivia Henry with Ron Noorderbroek 1 point further back in 3rd.
The next Monthly Handicap is being held this Saturday, September 19 with 720 rounds from 20 to 70 metres available.

Geelong Archers had fantastic results in the Archery Victoria State Indoor Championships that were held in conjunction with the National Indoor Championships. A Total of 10 State Medals were won which were presented over the weekend.

Olivia Henry Bronze Medal U16 Female Recurve
Lilly Clark Bronze Medal U18 Female Recurve
Melissa Allan Gold Medal and State Champion U21 Female Compound
Tim Hulsman Silver Medal 50+ Male Recurve
Fiona Barclay Gold Medal and State Champion 60+ Female Recurve
Malcolm Barker Gold Medal and State Champion 60+ Male Recurve
Gerardine Middendorp Gold Medal and State Champion 70+ Female Recurve
Gerard Middendorp Silver Medal 70+ Male Recurve
In addition, the Club had great representation with Jameka Airey and Charles Edouard achieving 4th places, Ron Noorderbroek placing 5th, Brad Saunders 7th in their categories.
