🌸 STRONGER TOGETHER — BREAST CANCER FUNDRAISER 🌸

This one is a little more personal.

A beautiful friend of mine lost her 10-year battle with breast cancer.

Ten years.

Ten years of courage, strength, hope, treatment, setbacks, determination and everything that comes with living with cancer.

So I wanted to do something that felt meaningful — something that brings people together, gets us moving, and helps raise money for an important cause.

💗 I’m hosting a Health & Fitness Fundraiser in support of breast cancer.

Expect a fun, empowering session designed for all fitness levels — because this isn’t about how fit or strong you are.

It’s about coming together.

It’s about moving our bodies.

It’s about supporting women and families affected by breast cancer.

And most importantly, it’s about raising money to help make a difference.

🎀 100% of proceeds will be donated to charity.

Come along on your own, bring a friend, bring your sister, your mum, your daughter or your workout buddy.

Let’s fill the room with strength, support and a whole lot of pink. 💗

Monday 12th October, 6pm, The Vale (Watervale)

🎟️ Please like, share & spread the word.
Comment on this post if you’re interested & for any questions.

Every person. Every dollar. Every bit of support counts.

For those we’ve lost. For those still fighting. For those who will face it in the future.

🌸 Let’s get stronger together.

Breast Cancer: Risk & Prevention

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women, with around 1 in 7 women expected to be diagnosed during their lifetime. Breast cancer can also affect men and trans and gender-diverse people.

While some risk factors—such as age and biological sex—cannot be changed, others can be influenced through lifestyle.

Factors that may increase risk

* Alcohol: Regular alcohol consumption is linked to increased breast cancer risk, with risk increasing as intake increases.
* Excess body weight & weight gain: Particularly after menopause, being overweight or obese is associated with increased risk.
* Smoking: Smoking is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer and several other cancers.
* Processed meat: Higher consumption may be associated with increased breast cancer risk, particularly after menopause.
* Physical inactivity: Lower levels of physical activity are associated with increased breast cancer risk.

What can help reduce risk?

Regular physical activity is associated with a reduced risk of breast cancer, including vigorous activity.

Other factors, such as having children and breastfeeding, are also associated with a lower risk.

The important message

Not all breast cancers can be prevented, and having a risk factor doesn’t mean you will develop breast cancer. Equally, having no known risk factors doesn’t guarantee you won’t.

Understanding the factors we can influence—such as physical activity, alcohol intake, smoking and maintaining a healthy weight—can help us make informed choices about our health.

Move. Strengthen. Look after yourself. Know your risk.

Movement to raise awareness & funds through Tracy’s Gift for breast cancer!

Tracy's Gift epitomizes the Loving Daughter, Happy Wife, Special Mum, Adored Sister, Caring Aunty, Community Giver and Beautiful Friend.
For 46 years Tracy Nicholls gave her all to those she loved. 10 of those years were spent fighting breast cancer whilst continuing to raise 3 beautiful children with her beloved husband. Undoubtedly getting on and doing life with her family and friends despite the diagnoses and endless treatments, giving up was never an option for Tracy.
Sadly, in July 2019 Tracy lost her battle, but she left us all with many gifts. Her gifts of how to give, how to laugh, how to be heard, how to live and most importantly how to love.
Tracy's gift will continue to bring life to the greatest giver we know.
Tracy's gift has a purpose and that is to raise awareness and funds to support those living with breast cancer.

Join us Monday 12/10 at the Vale, Watervale.

They regret waiting.

• Bone health
• Muscle mass
• Hormone health

• Independence

The hardest part is often taking the first step.

I’ll help with the rest.

The StrongHER Program begins soon.

Only a small number of places are available so everyone receives plenty of coaching and support.
