A huge congratulations to all of our students who competed and judged at today’s karate tournament, and a big thank you to the families and support crew who were there cheering everyone on. ❤️

Win or lose, there is so much to be gained from participating in a martial arts tournament. It’s about far more than medals and results. It’s about developing valuable life skills — learning to perform confidently under pressure, overcoming fears, navigating setbacks, building resilience and growing in self-confidence.

We were incredibly proud of the attitude shown by every one of our students today. Our winners were humble, everyone demonstrated wonderful respect and sportsmanship, and you represented our dojo with pride.

A wonderful day of karate, personal growth and supporting one another. 👊🥋

on Bushido Tournament,
Today we had 6 competitors and three referees on the floors came away with first seconds third and fourth places. Big congratulations to our competitors for getting out of their comfort zone and travelling to Melbourne and having a go. You are all winners and a big thank you to our three referees. Thank you to Kancho Peter and Shihan David for putting this tournament on well done.

Our goal is to bring practitioners from different styles, organisations and dojos together in a friendly, constructive and respectful environment, helping to strengthen and bind our martial arts community.

We are very pleased that AMAC is offering this opportunity to everybody.

Whether you already practise Kobudo or have never picked up a traditional Okinawan weapon before - come and train with us!
