Warrnambool 4WD Club with Geelong 4WD Club at their Moonambel Muster 2026

Saturday
The day started with a foggy morning, creating some interesting conditions on the tracks.
Our first challenge was Sardine (bonus line). Conditions were mixed: dry at the bottom but increasingly slippery toward the top. The climb became difficult enough that winching was required to complete it.
From there, we headed over to Old Bluff. The surface was glassy and slick near the top, turning into a real slip-and-slide on the descent. Anyone who wanted to drive up was given the opportunity to have a go.
Next, we travelled up Fraser Track before tackling an unnamed track near Mt Avoca. As we approached it, Eric asked, “You gonna drive that?” to which Chris replied, “That’s the plan!”
Before lunch, we decided on one final track. What was expected to be a quick run at around 11:30 am turned into a much bigger challenge, and it was nearly two hours later before we finally arrived at Glenpatrick for lunch.
After lunch, we headed up Emery Middle Track and continued through the afternoon without incident.

Sunday
The day began on Main Break Track before moving onto New Nowhere Track, where the fog continued to add to the atmosphere and challenge of the drive.
From there, the group travelled along Emery Track to Old Mill, then tackled an unnamed creek track. The track was rocky and required some branch clearing along the way. It also produced the standout drive of the day, with Jeff Price navigating the obstacles with a massive wheel lift — no flex, no worries!
The next challenge was bonus line on Old Tiger Track, climbed by Chris, Brett and Sam and very spirited drives by Liam and Lior before the convoy stopped for lunch at Cameron’s.
After lunch, the group headed down New Tiger Track. The descent provided some excitement, with one vehicle losing a taillight and another becoming caught up on a rock, requiring a winch recovery to get free and excited discussions over the radio!
Once getting to the bottom of New Tiger Cat Track, we turned turned around to go back up! Some more very spirited drives and lots of wheel lifts Liam Fenwick and Eric Bennett. This track knows how to put on a show!
The trip wrapped up with the run down Matthew’s Track, bringing the weekend's driving to a close.
