Our own resident green thumb, Horticulture Teaching Education Manager Trevor Bullen, has been assisting the Greenlife Industry Victoria team at this week’s Horticulture Showcase at Parliament House this week.

Today we hosted our first 2026 regional competition at our Portland campus. Students competed in Fitting and Welding, demonstrating some wonderful skills. Congratulations to everyone who competed today. Thank you to and for sponsoring these categories.

We now have one versatile relocatable space now available for sale by tender.

The multi-purpose room was built by our students at Sherwood Park, designed for relocation to a permanent site.

The room will be available for removal by Friday 23 October.

We are excited to host the WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition from 31 August to 4 September!

Students and apprentices will have the opportunity to showcase their skills across 17 categories, from automotive and carpentry to hairdressing, beauty, IT, cookery and welding.

It’s a great chance to test skills, build confidence and connect with industry.

We're excited to be named a finalist at this year's Victorian Training Awards! 🎉

This recognition is a wonderful achievement, and we look forward to celebrating with all the finalists when the winners are announced on 18 September.

Our Certificate III in Information Technology (ICT30120) students have had a great start to the year, taking their learning beyond the classroom through industry visits, guest speakers, and hands-on activities.

Students heard from local IT professionals, toured server rooms and a data centre, explored robotics within the South West Tech School, and gained a better understanding of the many career opportunities in the IT industry.

A big thank you to everyone who shared their time, knowledge and experience with our students.
